This car has been on ebay a few times over the last several months without a buyer. There is a lot to like about this car, but the tag sure looks too good to be an original one.
My 69 GTS tag finishes with END and not EN1

Yes it is, but they may have the original. Has broadcast sheet and I know the guy who used to own it, best friend of one of the guys who started the GTS Registry, his info is on the Galen report. My old 69 GTS M-Code car is the same colors, still wish I would have restored it, would be a perfect match to this one! frown A few liberty's were taken in the "restoration", most notably the color of the engine and of course the steering wheel. tsk

A real nice tag is not an indicator that it is fake. Original tag in great condition is not uncommon on this side of the country. I have a box of nice original tags from desert cars that I've parted out.

And a repro tag is no proof a car is a phony. Original corroded tag may be stashed with the paperwork, or in some cases owners are paranoid their tags will get swiped at a car show, so display it with a repro and keep the original stashed somewhere for safekeeping.
Best to ask an owner or seller of a car about the tag before assuming the worse!

Doesn't END, EN1, or EN2 refer to the shift in the factory?

They did not get the upper door frame color correct. It should be B3 but they look like B7. I minor detail, but they add up.
The ad needs some pictures with the dog dish caps put back on.

I owned the car pre-restoration. The fender tag is a reproduction but an accurate one per the original buildsheet with no liberties taken. I bought it out of North Carolina. When I sold it it went to Florida. Very solid car.

Man, I love seeing these before pictures. Was it still wearing the factory paint and stripe before it was restored?
How long ago were those pictures taken? Is the black and red Dart an original factory color?

Hi Joe
Nice photo, did you have the ladder truck over at the house..lol.
I should have kept that Black Car.
I wish I would have made a move on that Black GTX 6 barrel car you had when I picked up the Dart.
What ever happened to that X.

Be cool man.

Matt

That is a nice Dart! B7 looks awesome on most any '69 Dodge or Plymouth...
(I looked at a beautiful '69 Road Runner in B7 for sale a few years ago). It's a great color. Wonder what happened to the original steering wheel in the GTS? shruggy

Did you sell it to Peyton?

I agree

Love the unrestored 69 GTS.

I don't remember if the FL guys name was Peyton.

The black one was optioned as pictured, 383 car also. Black, red int, white stripe. I had 4 383 GTS's at the same time but like many I got an addiction & sold them all since. (Got addicted to 71 Plymouth B-Bodies Lol)

Matt, the X9 440+6 71 GTX is being restored in KY last I talked to the new owner.

As far as the steering wheel in the GTS in this topic, believe it or not that was in it when I owned it!
