My first car was an F8 1970 Cuda 340 with elastomerics F&R. I bought it in 1976 from the original owner - an accountant who worked for Chrysler. I believe the car was an early one as he ordered it as soon as the sales banks were open.

Also, love the pic of the black Hemicuda convert. I saw that car before it was restored back in the mid 80's when it was owned by the attorney in AZ. Joe Savino & his crew restored & painted it. Anyone know who owns it now? (the attorney had quite an impressive collection of numerous different brand musclecars, including a red swiss cheese 421 Super Duty Catalina, a 1970 LS6 Chevelle convertible with super low miles, a yellow 1970 Hemicuda convert., a '65 Chevelle Z16 396, etc.)

The sheet you posted pertains to the addition of other colors being available on racing mirrors, not the rubber bumpers. The nine available colors on your revision for bumpers are the same 9 that were originally available at the start of the 70 model year. Black rubber bumpers were available from day one. I now have original fender information of an October built black front rubber bumper Barracuda Grand Coupe.

Since at least 11-69 Notice the word least? I did not say when they were first available, I just referenced the earliest document I had on the subject.

I just so happen to see this video the other day before this post was started!!!! Triple black, PLUS black front bumper, 440-6, 4 speed, shaker car!!! To bad owner wouldn't open the hood, would have been nice to see the fender tag. He doesn't mention that 440-6 was verified by the dash vin# ??????? Also...bumper faded?? Looks to me that the black paint has worn away leaving the grey plastic base material.

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

One of the Blakes (AZ.) used a '70 Hemicuda HT as a daily driver & it was a black car with elastomerics F&R. Saw it in the parking lot at a grocery store back in the mid-80's. Windows rolled down too. For a second I thought I had time traveled back to 1975!

Great info That is great info. I bought a 70 cuda 383 4 speed that had front and rear rubber bumpers on an FJ5 car. Everyone told me you couldn't get it that way. I knew they were original to the car.

I knew they were original to the car. What?, FJ5 color keyed bumpers?... I had a 70 Gran Coupe FJ5 optioned with just the front rubber bumper, all original, 383-4 spd car also, with the black/white houndstooth/red stripe interior, boy was it any ugly combo with that interior...
