Harley does make one heck of a nice trike in the Triglide and it's little brother the freewheeler. I'm old and trikes are a super nice ride for me and the wife God.

Right on! This year I am buying the 1200 Speedmaster, and going to turn my 03 America into a bobber. Been waiting for this America/Speedmaster line to get the 1200 since it came out.

Down side, I recently bought HOG stock. we shall see how it pans out.

I have a custom cafe' 2014 Bonneville T100. Eventually I want a Tiger so I can do some trail riding near our cabin.

I'm gen X and I have little interest in HD. The only HD that is mildly appealing to me is the XR1200 since it's kind of cafe'. Of course they don't build them anymore.

I always keep 3 bikes. A fast bike which now is a Kawasaki ZRX 1200, a dual sport which now is a Kaw KLR 250 and a touring bike. 2015 Road King. Honestly I love the RK. Comfortable, handles decent and you can remove the top box and windshield. Already have 30k miles on it with zero issues.

Oh and anyone that says Sportsters are not real Harley’s have not driven them. They are generally faster and handle better than the road sofas.

Article on MSN this morning regarding Harley and their current plight. This article stated motorcycle registrations are actually growing in the US at large, which was something of a surprise to me.

Suzuki in particular appears to be doing well growing in market. That also surprised me.

I've always loved big bore sport bikes and have 5 of them right now: 2 TL1000R's, a GSX1100E, FJ1200 and CBR1000F. However, I also have an 883 and often prefer to jump on that for a spin. I really enjoy the bike.

Would like to pick up a Buell sometime soon. Reading about the relations between Buell and Harley seems to show an exercise in futility.

I hope H-D manages to keep the lid on things for the company.

Depends, mine was a 1969 Sportster, it was not faster and could not handle with any other bike, have you ridden one? tonguue

Sold my Honda Magna and never looked back when I had kids. Now texters and blind old farts driving huge unnecessary trucks make it like playing Russian roulette with each ride. Good luck.

That's why I stay away from freeways, and in town I ride like I'm invisible.

Exactly. Been riding since I was a kid starting out on a Rupp mini bike. Tons of dirt bikes as a teen and street bikes ever since.
I like Harley bikes, just not fond of the dealerships.
I currently have an '07 Night Train that I bought new and plan on keeping it forever.

Yep. Bought a new 883 from Southwest Harley in Chula Vista Ca and rode it home to Va Beach. Did 2800 miles in 5 days and was bow legged for two weeks after. I rode it to Sturgis in 94 and twice to Daytona Beach and once to Key West. Sold it with 93k miles on her. Fun bike.

I got a used HD for my agency. The guys love it, and the public really love seeing it.

I used non tax dollars to give every MC endorsed employee a seat in an advanced riders course to improve their skills. Great team building days and I figure if is keeps one out of a crash, and working its a good payoff. Put it down as part of Employee Wellness.

90% of cars sold have automatic transmissions.

If they want to appeal to the masses, sell a bike where one doesn't need to shift.

My wife hate shifting, so she has an old CM400a Hondamatic. Cool little bike for sure!

Electric bikes that do not require shifting will sell like crazy IF they have decent styling (unlike the current Zero and others) and have good range and price.

Livewire is a step in the right direction IMHO.
