I haven't installed the shifter yet simply because it won't go into the car as an assembly (some linkage needs to pass around the cross member after the trans is in the car), I'll post some pics of it as it arrived though.

I went ahead and installed it just to check everything. Fits like a glove, precision fit parts WAY better than stock. Hercules couldn't break this stuff!

Micm, My car is still on the rotisserie and winter is here. Probably no road tests until next summer but Ill be on it all winter getting ready. I might just put it in my other Duster to try it out sooner as I am just as eager as you are to play with it

It would be interesting to read feed back from people who have purchased one and thrashed it on the street and track already but I am sure that will happen.

Their website says maintains a constant 700 ft lbs of torque.
I'm #181 and patiently waiting but Jamie tells me they probably won't have the speedometer adapter for the early A-body done by the time they get to my number...bummer:-)

No, he just told me on the phone that production was underway. He was very busy so I didn't want to take up a lot of his time in discussion (prefer he be building transmissions:-)) it would be a nice thing to know though.......

i shouldn't be quoted as this is second hand, but apparently he told a friend who is interested that if you aren't on the list, it's about a year lead time.

the transmissions all have to be assembled by hand, and are done so meticulously, yet this is not the mainstay of the business. all the usual 4 speed stuff has to happen to keep the shop and his livelihood going: the 5 speeds are on top of all this.

so, keep the faith! (dumb statement, never really liked it, but it popped into my head for some reason!)

There are certain risks in ordering and paying for an unknown new product, just as there are certain rewards if the product proves to be as advertised. Conversely, if you wait for the other early order "guinea pigs" to install and test them in hopes of learning more in regards to them being as advertised or not you pay the price for acting late enough that you can be penalized by waiting longer and paying more than those who jumped in first. My advice? Send a deposit NOW and take your place in line

Scott,
A few questions, I am on the list but Jamie told me I did not have to put down a deposit. Do you think it is best to put down a deposit?
The others are, what is the sift pattern on the 5 sp? Where is reverse in this pattern?

Thanks
