3.8 automatic (of course). Under light acceleration or cruise it seems to have a slight harmonic shake or vibration(slight shake, goes away for a couple seconds, slight shake, repeats), if I accelerate slightly more or let off the gas, it'll go away. No issue with OD or going into lockup, actually seems to occur before lockup. Under heavier acceleration it doesn't occur.

Changed filter and fluid and it's a little more prevalent that before.

Is there an additive that might stop this? It's not severe at all, wife (who's primary driver) doesn't even acknowledge it. And it's not horribly bad, just noticeable to this car guy.

Thanks

If it is the transmission, you need yo use the 7176 spec ATF+3 or ATF+4 trans fluid.

If you are in high gear (4th with the 41TE or 6th with the 62TE) and driving steady state and you get this condition you likely have something besides the trans causing it.

You say the condition comes and goes with steady throttle? On smooth road and steady state the trans is locked.

Watch the tach when you get the condition to make sure it doesn't fluctuate.

I don't think we had them in 07 but you don't have AWD do you?

2007 had problems with torque converter shudder. Converter shudder is most noticeable around 30-40 and 60-70. There is a tsb for it. If it is converter shudder you can put a bottle of the mopar limited slip additive for rear axles in the trans and it should make it go away. The tsb is to update the pcm and replace the converter.

Maybe just a needles' width on the tach when it does.

I'll give the LS additive a try.

Thanks as always gang!

The limited slip additive works - because it makes the trans SLIP. But only if your problem is clutch shudder.

Plus it damages any brass materials - bushings and thrust washers.

And it reduces clutch capacity ( makes the clutch less able to carry the same load ).

If you haul a small trailer and back that van up a grade you'll wound the L/R clutch - guaranteed.

Before you use it - why don't you diagnose the problem more instead of crutching the situation.
