Hey Guys,

A friend of mine is trying to help an elderly fella find a wiper switch for his '86 D100. He says it is a sliding switch, not a rocker or twist knob type switch. I have not been able to find one doing a general internet search.

I'm not familiar enough with these trucks to know if they even have a sliding wiper switch. Could someone verify that? Also, any recommendations on where to get a switch would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Randy

a sliding switch in that year must be the wiper delay switch.

Both regualr and intermittent were sliding switches.
I got spares so let me know which one the old fella needs.
Cheers

I agree. 2 different slider switches for the trucks.

a 2 speed only and a delay 2 speed.

I have a delay switch on my 2 speed wipers and it will park and do the 2 speeds but in the delay area it is a dead zone. they stop.

it gets me by as needed and I have been looking for the 2 speed switch myself but no luck.

I'm pretty sure a switch from a late '70's B or C body will work too.

I had an '84 PU that the fan switch melted the heater control panel in the dash. I happened to have a control panel from a '77 B-body and it fit perfectly. The only difference was that the push buttons were not chromed like on the truck's original.
