And? He doesn’t have a car that runs?
A friend of mine spent years restoring a ‘59 Sport Fury convertible, a car that was just about rusted in half. Less than two weeks after it was done, he DROVE it from California to Carlisle in 2015, to be part of 5he forward look display.
I’d bet Mark’s new challenger could make that trip...
I’m also sure he could take the train and save a bunch of time.
NO excuse for someone who claims to be the best in the world at restoring Mopars, to not attend a show like Carlisle.
He doesn’t go, because he doesn’t WANT to, not because he “can’t”.

Is that the black SF that had the build and road trip documented on the H.A.M.B., if so great story and the car turned out beautiful.

Oregon to Pennsylvania is quite a hike when driving by car.
About 41 hours or 5 days on the road.

BUT would it be sooo cool if Mark and crew DROVE across country in carz that they restored and prove their claim that they RUN PERFECTLY?.
Mark has said on the show that they were meant to be driven.
The journey would be an excellent showcase for them (maybe)

I would call it the Graveyard Carz Zombie Run.
Kinda like the opposite of a funeral procession,LOL!
Back from the dead and alive going across the country

Yeah,I am calling Mark out!!! No trailers allowed!!
Get in,shut up,put the lead foot down and hang on!!

Auto league will be on speed dial next to 911

Amazing build on a distressed car and cool story. One of my favorite threads I have ever followed.

I believe the guy that built the 1959 SF goes by the name "Big M" on Forwardlook.net and sells parts for fin cars. If so, I have bought parts from him. Great guy to do business with.

I enjoy watching GGC every week.
I watch it for the cars and a few of the 'actors', Dave R and Tony D when he's on, not to see Mark W try to be funny.

It was inevitable that Tony would respond. I say if you don't like GYC, don't watch it. He has done more for our car hobby than anyone else to bring it to the mainstream masses. I would bet if Tony could get him to come to Carlisle, the crowds would be big to meet him.

Im sure every offer is low balling to you,
especially if you feel its from someone who may resell it

btw, youve bragged about "deals" that you've bought,
but i'm sure you can justify it's different somehow

you must be really unhappy with yourself and life being that a large amount of your posts are negative and hateful

lifes too short man, be positive

Maybe he could do a road trip to Carlisle with Freiburger and Finnegan since both shows are on the same network.

I've said it before and I will say it again...I watch the show and I like it . And here is why . It's a show about Mopars . It's a show where rare Mopars are being featured, shown, talked about, worked on , etc.
It's not a show where some tattooed jokers are installing 28 " wheels and air bag suspension on every car, and painting them flat black with pinstripes. It is the ONLY show on television where we see the inside workings of a shop attempting to do OEM restorations . And..it just so happens they specialize in Mopars . I would watch this show even if they were doing Fords, or Buick, Olds Pontiacs, or Chevys, or AMCs simply because I can appreciate all musclecars of that era .
Does Mark get sometimes go overboard on his antics ..sure.but so what .
Everybody you meet in this world has their own personality and character .
Some are very boring , some are way over the top , and most fall somewhere in the middle . Personally I find Mark to be "entertaining" , and his antics do not bother me at all . You have to keep in mind, if something somewhat crazy isn't going on somewhere in a show, that show will not last past season one. It's just a fact . When you consider 99 % of the people who watch the show don't have a clue what in heck Mark is talking about if he refers to a car as an "FC7 JS29R0B with a D21 , A34 and N96" the only thing they can relate to is scenes like the "magic hat" .
I guess seeing someone talk in "code" is one reason I like the show, because I have been doing it for 30 years and I know exactly what he is saying. I can only imagine he comes across as some kind of space alien phonating some ancient Egyptian texts to the average car guy siting at home on the couch with their arm around their wife...as the wife turns to her husband and asks " hey honey..what exactly is an XX29 ?" And Joe six pack doesn't have a clue how to respond to his wife because he doesn't know either, but doesn't want to look like a dumbazz . Then all the sudden
something crazy happens on the show, they both laugh, and then they go out for tacos .
The bottom line is , if crazy things don't happen on a TV show , especially on a show that is so specific and targets such a small nitch,
then the show will not appeal to a large enough crowd to get enough viewers
and ratings . Their has to be a certain amount of 'train wreck" aka 'honey boo boo" ridiculousness going on to hold a large enough audience .

I think BigMoneyLewis hit it on the head, with his comments.
I have been a bit harsh on Worman in the past, I admit it. I have resolved this year to try and not to "pre-judge" people so much, so with that said. I do like watching his show, based on the cars themselves, and the info about the stories behind the cars, maybe not so much his antics, but hey..
as was mentioned, everybody acts up to some degree, at some point, no?
It is THE ONLY program on tv involving purely Chrysler related vehicles...
so I am glad for that, and give Mark credit for trying to promote the Pentastar. twocents

I love Mopars. I love talking about Mopars. Mark Worman and I share a similar passion and would probably be friends. I get accused of being silly sometimes. While I really enjoy Wayne Carini with Chasing Classic Cars, and Restoration Garage, these two are my favorites, how many shows feature our beloved Mopars? I'd say Mark Worman has done something many thought impossible. Featuring all Mopars in a series that has gone a few seasons now.
