I have been considering selling my 71 real 440 gtx hemi clone
As is or with orig engine reinstalled
so i can finish some other projects and
Buy a newer T/A
Is the market that soft ?
not to go off topic. but if you want to get the most dollars for your car. put the original motor back in and sell the hemi.
in today's world with modern muscle cars. unless a older car is something special it isn't worth more than a 1 year old modern muscle car, so. so in my opinion YES the market is that soft. especially 71 and up B bodies.
you probably sell a matching numbers 440 gtx for almost the same if not more than if it has a hemi in it.
it took me 3 years to sell my 72 RR with factory N96 V21 V25 options with a 572 hemi in it and included the original number matching 400 motor an trans. i also had fender tags with build sheet. even today with a stronger market it wouldn't sell for much more than i sold it for 2 years.
