Odd.

I had a B7 RR 383 4 speed with a white half vinyl top.

Not at all saying they didn't make any, just that in my database I have very few recorded as a percentage of the total...much higher percentage in 440+6 cars.

You didn't say there none made, you said there were few made and lots of the V codes were B7. It's all good and thanks for tracking this stuff.

Eric,
That's the car. You gave me some "pre restoration" pictures last year, and an old email from the second owner. The old email was still good, and I contacted him (John) and he had a treasure trove of old paperwork that he mailed me later. Two folders full of documents.
Thank you again for hooking me up!

Here's a link to mine being sold at auction by a subsequent owner:

https://www.americancarcollector.com/premium-auction-database/1642794

It shows how much those value appraisals are BS. When I got it, the quarters had been replaced with NOS, and the front fenders with good used pieces. The interior was trashed and had to be redone. Not according to this "expert".

It was a very late car (SPD 618) and had date-coded GTX/Sebring Plus door panels from the factory rather than RR units. They must have been running low on white at the end of the year.

I looked through the database, and I don't have any record of your old car yet. I do have two B7/V4W 383 auto cars on file. You wouldn't happened to have any VIN or fender tag info on it would you?

I don't have this car in my database yet. Would you happen to have a photo of the fender tag and/or broadcast sheet?

Man I love B7. Great looking cars, guys. Im getting a new project thats 70 B5 and am really thinking about B7. Does that car look a little light in shade, or is it just pictures? Would it hurt to change it to a 4 speed? Already had alot added.

There used to be a 71 B7 440 6 pack road runner that would be parked in the Patrick Cudahy lot in Cudahy WI in the early 80’s. I remember the car had an air grabber and the call outs on the front fenders in black. Not sure what ever happened to that car.

not to go off topic. but if you want to get the most dollars for your car. put the original motor back in and sell the hemi.
in today's world with modern muscle cars. unless a older car is something special it isn't worth more than a 1 year old modern muscle car, so. so in my opinion YES the market is that soft. especially 71 and up B bodies.
you probably sell a matching numbers 440 gtx for almost the same if not more than if it has a hemi in it.
it took me 3 years to sell my 72 RR with factory N96 V21 V25 options with a 572 hemi in it and included the original number matching 400 motor an trans. i also had fender tags with build sheet. even today with a stronger market it wouldn't sell for much more than i sold it for 2 years.

The Hemi is a Dudek built specialty
Id like to tame it and throw it in a different car

I guess I know what I gotta do ..

Unless someone wants to try for 10's in a 4000
Lb car .. it wont be a fire sale , but would be fun
for someone . I just cant dig up the time ..

Im havin more fun with my six pack ..

with a different description.

Not as a driver as described from those who know the car but probably as a nearly flawless show car.
