Same thing happened to me this week. Just the every growing group of people that have been deleted by the moderators. So why if someone helps another member and then offers to sell a part to them is that so bad. Maybe they should use the Messaging system on here but you don't think of that when your posting on a thread and trying to help a member out.Usually it is taken to a MP when some one whats more information or a price. I have seen others post in the Four Sale Parts section with no prices and they never seem to get deleted. A member and I talked on our none boarded emails last night about the same thing that happened to him on moparts. Now how long will this post take to get deleted.

Generally the "mods" aren't patrolling the threads/posts/etc like sharks looking for a meal, it's generally some self anointed mod/god, goody do gooder, or an individual who might dislike another member, etc, etc, etc, who pushes the "notify" button to bring attention... the whole reason we're here is to help one another, even if a sale/offer gets tucked into the conversation(s)/post(s) it doesn't hurt anyone IMHO

Never seen that bracket. When I removed the headliner board on my survivor to replace the sagging material, it didn't have that bracket. Neither does the one in my AAR I'm finishing up.

That's VERY odd Mike, every Challenger SE or GC headliner/console that I've removed over the decades of parting out E bodies they always had that bracket, it's an often missing item on swap meet removed boards/consoles as it's often left attached to the parts car because of the access to the roof bracket screws, often installed at an angle, (often impossible to access thru the dome lite hole, bracket is installed first, then board is fitted, access thru dome lite hole to support the board center) when removing the entire board assy, or forgotten/dismissed as part of the inner roof structure

Can you put an overhead console in a car that never had one and has a regular headliner already installed? Do you have to add anything to hold it up near the windshield?

and let me ad, this may sound niave, but on the console the bolts are pointed toward the roof. How does it bolt up when head liner is installed?

I'll assume you mean the studs of the console?, if so the console is mounted to the headliner board first, then the headliner/console combo is then installed as 1 piece, the Y shaped embossed bracket is installed before the headliner board goes in place as the screws are often driven in at an angle to avoid hitting the roof skin, after the headliner is clipped in place and most of the items like the rear view mirror, sunvisors, upper seat belt brackets/etc are in place to support the board, you access the Y bracket thru the dome lite hole and secure it with 2 screws that attach to the dome lite retainer frame that is crimped onto the overhead console. it's a chore for a one man operation, best to have a helping hand...

The Cuda 70-74 can use/receive a GC headliner board with very few mods, the 70-1 Challenger uses the rear window plug inner trim to assist in retaining and finishing the rear section of the headliner, the sunvisors, rear view mirror, and shoulder seat belt, and clips, along with the headliner perimeter U clips and the overhead Y shaped embossed bracket in discussion help retain the board in the car, the bows from a cloth headliner vehicle are discarded, as far as fitting an overhead console to a cloth equipped car, anything is possible, but that would involve some custom work on your end as the overhead console only has 5 mounting studs that normally retain it to the board, so you'd have to fashion some form of a support plate that would sandwich the bows in the headliner to hold/support the console to the cloth headliner
