Anyone know where to get these THAT WORK? They are to be used with Mancini roller cam button. Can't find any with smaller head that will fit .Head of ones I find are too large in diameter and will not work with this cam button and are too long of a head cuz it is longer than the button itself and comes in contact with my timing chain cover.

Thanks Mike

"Socket head cap bolts? "

Ones I find are too long. Would require grinding down so that they are not longer than roller button.

Last one I did using ARP flange head bolts I had to not use to the washers that came with them and grind the hex down so they didn't stick out so far. Other then that they worked ok

ARP 752-0750 for 3/4" long, 752-1000 for 1" long, 6 point.
Change prefix to 742 for 12 point.

It's a 5 pack.

These work? Can always chuck 'em up and reduce the OD of the head if needed.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

There are "low head" allen cap screws. I prefer those to the button head for the cam button application. Also, make sure you check and adjust the cam endplay - I've yet to see one of those buttons fit any cover without something needing adjusting. If its too tight then a solution is Proformance cover gaskets. If its too loose you can cut a feeler gauge and use a piece behind the button to space it out. Contrary to what you may have heard, on a roller bearing button you do not need any endplay.

What brand cam company makes a three bolt cam for any Moopar V8 with 3/8x24 (fine)threads per inch? confused
All the three bolt cams I have seen or used, race or stock, all had the course 3/8 bolt holes in them work
Are you using the Diamond brand 3 bolt roller thrust bearing that Hughes and Mancini sell?
Mine came with the proper size and thread bolts to work correctly shruggy

The ARP 742-1000 12 point that Fast68 Suggested looks like it would work with the Mancini cam button. He has probably used them with this button.
The "low head" allen cap screw also looks like it would work. Any idea where to find them?
I have an aluminum timing chain cover with a small piece of steel welded to the location where the cam button contacts. I have endplay adjusted to where it barely moves at all.
Thanks MIke

Cab this is a Comp cam. It looked a little different than the one it was replacing(lifter failure) including having a much shorter pin, so I called them and sent it back to have a longer pin installed. They said it was a different core(actually a better one they said) but would work . They said it was my responsibility to find bolts that fit.

I can send you photo's of both cams showing how they differ if you send me your e-mail

Thanks Mike

Yes a Mancini roller button.
Mike

No need for the pictures, I had to return Comp Cams a custom ground steel billet solid street Hemi roller cam with EFI back due to them shipping me a odd ball core with six cam bolt holes on the front puke down
They tried to get me to use it after they checked it on their cam Dr. NO WAY I'm installing anything like that in a customers motor down
I ended up having Tim Banning at FHO send me one of his special EFI grind solid roller cams from Comp, it was correct for the motor up shruggy

Cab, the new cam has 5 bolt holes. I tried to get them to send another one but they would not.

Trouble with these types of screws is to get a 3/16 allan to take 35 ft/lbs

I don't think I ever found any bolts to work with that cam button. One of the reasons I don't use it. I figured out a pretty good solution with a smaller thrust button and the Hex-a-just timing gear. The problem is that Cloyes keeps changing the design of the Hex-a-just so what used to work might not work anymore.

I just use the Comp 204 button and socket head cap screws.

I've always used G8 cap screws for clearance with any cam button. S/F....Ken M
