Anyone know the bolt and stud locations on a 426 Hemi intake manifold (or where I can find that information)? There are 2 bolt lengths and 4 or 5 studs of various lengths and I'm looking for the correct hole location of each. I have found very helpful information on water pumps where someone has taken a picture of a water pump and show the bolt and stud lengths for each hole. It would be very helpful if something similar exists for the Hemi intake manifold.

Thanks Bee. Unfortunately that thread and it's attachments don't answer all of the fastener questions. I didn't see anything in the first pictures except the top of a Hemi intake but with no reference to fasteners. The 2nd JPG file showed "stud locations" but there is more than one stud length and they didn't note that. There was also no reference to where the various bolt lengths go. What I'd really like to find is something like the picture attached except for a 65 era Stage II Hemi.

So, using the attachment that shows stud locations, it would be great to put something together on bolt, stud and length by hole LOCATION...

A 65 Race Hemi or a 1965 casting date Hemi in another model year car (66,67,68, etc.)?

A 65 Race Hemi takes allen bolts with a captive washer. You will find out why later. Mopar still sold those recently. Someone will have them in stock. They b pricey.

Sorry, I had to go do something. Anyway, the allen bolts have a "captive" washer (I believe they call this a Simms washer). If you tried to use regular bolts and studs that use a flat washer this might end in a very bad way. On most of the bolts you are working thru the little holes. Won't be long before a washer falls off as you are taking the bolt out and you know where it's going. Bad day. But if you use the proper bolts, the washer is captive and the whole thing won't go in the cylinder. Mo better. It is best to torque the intake with the book instructions. (I know, nobody does it that way.)

My (major) error fellas. I was thinking of my brother's 65 at the time I posted but the bolt and stud question is for a 70' Hemi. My apology.

Not to hijack but if someone has a picture of the '67 arrangement I could use that.

Thanks Scott but the question I had is what bolt or stud length is correct for each manifold hole.

I think there is documentation that disagrees with above. The longest W should be on the rear driver side where the throttle linkage connects. That medium Y goes where the W is shown. Do not believe there is any reason to have an over side stud in the location shown above.

I have noticed differences in the stud lengths as compared to originals. Either will work, just something to note.

Was thinking the same thing. Where the white bolt is listed on the passenger side, there is no boss, and nothing bolts on there. I believe that is correct, it belongs on the rear drivers side and is one of the bolts that holds down the throttle linkage.
