Just my 2006 MegaCab, 2 wheel drive, Cummins. Pretty quick, 13.70's . Want to dump the steel clad rims, and get some polished. Not sure if there is a ride-quality difference with the size of the rims. Not towing much more than a boat these days. Tires will just be some highway tires. Has anybody switched among the different sizes, and noticed a difference? Thanks

Although I have a 1 ton I kept my 17s for ride quality. I had some 22.5s I was going to turn down to 22s but sold them because my truck rides like crap as it. I did put larger tires 285/65/17s on the back I put 265/70s on the front. I have toyos proxes out back and they hook great at the drag strip. Last time I ran it (2 years ago) it went 12.50 at 110.

I’ve got 20s with 35” tires on mine. It rides ok for being a 3/4 ton 4x4.
17” tires are cheaper though. My last set cost nearly 2 grand
