Many years ago I painted the dome light housing (69 roadrunner) with a paint matching the dome color. Now I would like to remove the paint, but there's a question: will a paint stripper remove the anodizing on the aluminum? Thank you for your answer, people.

If it was a rattle can, I would try lacquer thinner on a rag first.

I would try Castrol Super Clean . its not near as harsh as lacquer thinner

Brake fluid works on plastic parts to remove paint. May work in this case.

Lacquer thinner on a soft rag. Will not hurt the anodized finish.
