Probably going to need a new base for that shaker.

The only difference in the motors is the 440 has the heads sitting on the taller (RB or raised block)block, so most of the accessories remain the same, ie bellhousing, clutch, throttle linkage.

You will need different head pipes, distributor, alternator bracket and possible the fuel line from the pump to the carb. Your Shaker base plate will need to be changed because the carb sits higher on the RB block.

This site is more of a self-help style of information as opposed to a one stop shop for all the answers. If you get much more specific about a single question or two, you will find you get a lot more answers. Good luck with the swap.

Mopar didn't put shakers on 383 cars in 1970, Hemi and HP 440 cars only in 1970. They did offer them on 383, 340 and the BB and Hemi cars in 1971 shruggy
My message is use what you have first, if it doesn't fit then change the parts needed scope
Are you running the stock 1970 exhaust system? If so does it have a H pipe between the exhaust manifolds and mufflers? If not you may be able to bolt your existing exhaust system up to the 440 motor with the same exhaust manifolds scope

Mopar friend!..
Thanks for the information, for my engine swap 383-440
Greatly appreciate It!

Would you know if i Need to change Clutch!
My clutch for the swap to 440 from a 383 4-spd
My cuda is a 4 speed, but i think I need an 11" clutch? Or can I use the 10-1/2'
the 383 -70-Cuda came with!

Thanks,

I would use the same clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, starter and bell housing up If the new motor makes enough torque and HP to need a better clutch you can always change it later work
I ran all three type, Borg and Beck, long and centrifugal clutches and both sizes of clutch in my old 1970 Hemi Cuda NHRA legal stocker, they all worked okay in that car shruggy
You can buy a 10.95 clutch assembly that will bolt onto the 10.5 inch flywheel pattern and work fine with that starter, bell housing and the rest of the parts you have now up scope
