Switching my one car from a BB back to a small block. While the big block was in the car I changed the Alternator over to a 1 wire alt(Jegs 100 amp, GM mount, had to adjust the one factory BB alot mount, but made it work). Just put the SB in today and went to mount the alt and there's not enough space between the alt bracket and head to mount the alternator with the belt still in line. What is a decent priced alt that is 1 wire and will still be able to use the factory alternator brackets? I'm okay with having to adjust the brackets if need be, but would like the alt in the factory location.

I use Powermaster 1 wire part # 38529.

Puts out up to 165 amps.

Fits sb & bb brackets.

PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure.
..... Now its a door stop....
