I only read the ad and I fell upside down already. That looks like a metric crap ton of work with very few of the correct parts to even start....not seeing $30K

It's really going to depend on what the frame rails etc. look like .
The seller says it has rust , but other than that unusual spot in the fender, It "looks" to be a very solid, original paint car, and that is exactly how you want to find them. Since this seller is in California ,
his idea of rust and every body else's idea of rust may be different ?
Comes with a T/A block , heads, intake carb , air cleaner etc. and the fender tags are there . I see about a 20k project car , again assuming it is solid underneath . Being an automatic and FF4 will hurt it a bit , but I think
it would be a great project . Too bad the seller is firm on that 30k .

Greg

The color is the main detractor

Car CAME FROM THE MIDWEST. Does not matter if he lives in a vacuum now, it has seen midwest weather.

I’ve got one that same color except the interior is green. It’s been stored inside a Texas garage since 79. I bought it for a parts car way back then for $1500! It has zero rust and original paint. All matching block and tranny, with sheet and tag. I’ve had people trying to buy it for years for up to $35,000. I gave it to my son. He loves green. I hope we can restore it someday before I get to old.

Odd to see one with an un bowed hood. Yep, “Midwest” rust raises the fear. Pretty cool anyway.

Before the internet buying a car in CA was pretty much a guarantee that it was going to have nice metal. Now a lot of uneducated CA people have bought cars from places where the cars just got beat up body wise.

I agree.

It's real easy nowadays to sit on you computer, look at some pictures and instantly you have cool old car. Doesn't matter if you have a clue about them or not.

Me too, seeing the one pictured below sitting around left quite the impression on me as a young lad.

If you were to knock on the owner's door today with a bag full of cash, how much would you bring with you to try to pry it loose after all these years? Assuming it's still there, probably is, not my picture of it though.

IIRC 4-speed, I would presume all original under the hood but no idea.

It looks like the hood springs are off and that’s what bows the hoods. Put em back on and it’s guaranteed to bow.

I have the one in the ad recorded, the T/A block with it also.

The car that matches the block has been reported, (red on red) but I have no contact information for the owner.

If more of the owners of these cars would register, match ups could happen more often.

Hey now. Your only as young as you feel, you young whipersnapper. Lol. But yes. Life creeps up on you. I buried the guy that does my upholstery. He was 62.

Sure. Send an email with your VIN to sixpak340(insert at symbol here)att.net

I have been doing this for over 20 years now, so there are several cars in the registry the have had items reported but the owners contact information has changed, so I could not find them when I needed too.

Any registry member that has moved, changed phone numbers, email address, etc. can send a letter with the VIN & updated contact information. My mailing address is on both of my websites in the contact area.

But if your contact information has not changed since you registered, there is no need. I contact Registry members when something pops up for their car automatically. So if you have not heard from me & your information has not changed, nothing has surfaced on my radar.
