The chase is a race thing is OK. Played that way when I was doing the street thing in the 80's.

One thing now that gets so stupid is guys that leave early and you are sitting on the brake, drop the car off the brake and the car moves even a little either way. People start yelling you moved, it's a race. Idiot wimps that just want to cheat.

Who even sees the other car? This whole thing is stupid. Stupid starting system is just fodder for the creation of arguments. It's a TV show...

You do everything you can for the slight edge. I used to have the brake lights on my old 69 Charger wired to a toggle switch so I could leave them on during a pass if needed. If someone was dumb enough to offer me a car or the leave & was watching my taillights I would already be on the move before they knew it.

Water burnouts were big here also as everyone just poured their 20 oz bottle down. I had VHT in the OEM washer bottle with blue food coloring added to it just to give it that blue tint on the inner fenderwell in the stock location & plumbed it to spray over the rear tires in the wheel wells.

This car also had two systems on it. One big kit & one bigger kit depending on the opponent's car. Even used both kits a few times. Had two bottles mounted in the trunk but one had a dummy braided line going to it. So, if someone would say they would only run me on motor only. We would remove the two bottle out of the trunk & let them see us doing it. My actual second kit was another (3rd) bottle mounted up under the dash.....

It’s not cheating when there are no rules. It’s wit. If you have none, you won’t be competitive. It’s the difference between checkers and chess. There are those that should play checkers, and those that can play chess. Strategy is as fun as the race.

I was thinking Gypsy Mike. I heard about him and Boosted GT long before these shows were even thought of. I just don't remember where.

He needs to change pharmacies... haha I don't know why NHRA would first alienate these guys with the whole license thing. They should be gobbling these guys up somehow...

He is lucky to still be alive work Some people out here hate to be cheated shruggy
He does look like he has lost a couple of bad fights though, maybe over that work

Gypsy Mike would be a good choice.

Cheating how? If he states a chase is a race, and you agree to that, how is that cheating?
This isn’t the track, it’s street racing, there’s a big difference.

if we line up on the street and Chase is a Race is AGREED upon, better be ready, because you will be chasing me, as soon as his(her) arms go up , I'm GONE, if it's a flash light, as soon as his(her) arm goes up I'M GONE.
There is no cheating in street racing,

It WONT be Gypsy Mike. There are some issues there that I wont get into here. He has been on a hiatus for a couple years of late. Just not racing

I could not agree more with you Bob, just nuts to me to risk the money for a chance at 15 minutes of fame.
