i have been dealing with this issue for almost 10 years now. and while i used to have the utmost respect for moog parts, i have been severely disappointed by them. it seems more imported stuff coming from them, and you can't seem to even get matching castings any more. and trying to get replacement boots that last is a joke ! moog used to be the high standard, but not for many years now. i don't know what to recommend any more. if the stuff continues as it is, a guy may as well just buy the cheapest part out there, because you will be back to replace it or the boot every year or so anyway. to say i'm disappointed and unhappy about this is an understatement.

Took a baby bottle nipple and used some RTV and attached it to a torn one once. Not the best solution, but worked.

Yep, not just the dust boots unfortunately. I was able to call Moog (Google search), and provide a part number, and they were able to tell me country of manufacture for each part when I was rebuilding my front end. I was lucky with my old Diplomat Police car a few years ago and all were US manufactured parts. This is no guarantee of quality of course, and the dust boots still fell apart, but it was better than nothing. But I'm with you; Moog like so many other manufacturers has really dropped off in past ten years or so. Sad. Add Craftsman tools to the list. Junk.

I sent the parts out today - should be there by Saturday-ish.

Hope it all works out.
