Don't forget that long a$$ exhaust rocker arm.
at least the G3 arms are same in length.

In this case I think it was more for manufactured drama than anything dealing with reality. I seriously doubt Ryan Martin would be scared by 26 more cubic inches.

iagree

It's like the stripe taker, Bawlings made a big deal out of it. If you were paying attention at the start of the show when A$$ Donkeys unloaded their car it already had one on it. Then later in the show it didn't, that's when Bawlings started in about it.

Made for tv drama.

The 500in limit for the show was originally asked for by Big Chief because he always runs a 480ish Butler Pontiac based engine.

Agree, whats the point of moving green up if you can't leave on it.

This summer at a track near me , they had a race where they gave out the little wally's

Friend traveled to the race from about 400-500 miles away

It was a index race 6.50 ..so, he rigged up a T-stop made out a bolt and piece of tin ..

started going thru rounds , I think it was semi-final

guy he was racing, went red by a bunch, so my friend thought ..I'll run it out the back door to see how close my set up is

goes 6.496 --

red light guy goes to tower, says that guy broke out of the 6.50 index !

Kicked my friend out, and re-instated the red light car

"hometowned"

The green light replaced the amber and the green light had to go out before leaving, just like if it was amber. Green comes on for .400 and goes out like an amber bulb would normally before green.

He left while the green bulb is on still... with how they had it set up, that's a red light.

Well I saw some of the show last night. I did not see the incident referred to here. But I did notice they simply removed the amber lights and installed a green bulb in the middle of the tree. Rather than switching the tree to instant green, which some timing systems can do and apparently other cannot. By just replacing the bulb and setting the tree to a .400 tree its is entirely likely to go red, and by a fair amount. I heard David jones mention he did not turn o his delay box so the brake did not hold. Maybe the ONE bracket racer in their group is smart enough to understand in that arrangement of the tree it is quite easy to red light.

Sensors do screw up so computers can make mistakes, but think everything was fine

I would agree he went red if that was a yellow bulb, but it was green. So if they want a instant green then leave all yellows out and green at the bottom.

Assuming someone with a hood scoop complained they can't see the bottom green and want to go with a higher bulb?

He went .392 after he seen green or a -.008 on a pro .400 tree using bottom bulb
Only way he red lighted is if he went -.401

They did not show the driver meeting or I missed that part, to see how it was explained. That might change my mind.

The herky jerky turbo bump boxes cause a lot of tree issues.

That's NOT an instant green tree. That's simply a tree where the amber was replaced with a green light. Meaning it was a .400 pro tree NOT an instant green. BTW this was all hashed out MONTHS ago when it occurred plenty out there on it

Here is your RED light by KK on a Pro tree. The green is in the amber position for a pro tree car cleared the beam in less than .400 so he went red
