Does anyone have the dimensions of the opening of the Indy Modman? Looking to see if it’ll work for a project. I think they all have the same opening (BB, SB, Hemi etc) so a measurement from anyone should work. Width, Length and Depth

I'll give it another bump because I'm curious if anyone ever made any power with one, it always just looked like a shoebox lid with runners and carb mounts to me.

If you can wait until tomorrow, I can give you the top plate dimensions (length and width). I don't really want to tear the top plate off the intake right now.

It works great for what I have. My car isn't a race car. It squeaked into the 10s with a modman. 528 hemi with 2 eddy 750s on it. Pump swill and full TTI exhaust. I wish someone would do a comparison between the modman and eddy intake myself...

That’ll be much appreciated lol. It’s -22F here right now so I understand. The top plate dimensions would be good (length and width), also a rough depth of the plenum would be great as well if you could (just off the outside would be good for the depth)

thumbs ok. I'll do my best on the depth. I'll go up in the morning and measure it up for ya.

Will look tomorrow if you need still .
I know on my 440 between a M1 and BG825 with 1"spacer and modman with twin 600s it was a wash HP wise .
BUT . Car slowed in the 60 and lost et , same MPH .
Could not get a good AFR , ran lots of jet/rod etc still showed lean . Even tried 4 hole spacers to improve signal . No help .
Added a full length filler to reduce plenum volume , inconclusive .
Felt great on the street .
May get a chance to try it on my 505 this year . I feel this will work better plus leaving on a 2 step at higher rpm
PS , measured plenum volume was approximately 5 litres

Brent Wheeler runs one in N/SS. Car runs 10.0 index with 2 Edelbrocks.

I have on on my street car with 2 - 600 Carter AFB's - compared to the factory cross ram - I lost the bottom end but gained top end over 5500 - overall I think its a turd of an intake - no runner length, lots of volume - very poor fuel distribution. It would make a great boosted intake! I can measure it up tonight - but if you have other choices go that direction.

I was sure there are measurements on the Indy or Mancini site but the MM is not far off my BDS intake. The MM is 4.5" tall I think and has longer runners than my BDS by 1/2".My carb plate is 14" x 6" o/c of the carb studs and is what the MM has I think.lmk if I can help.

Modman RB

over all height from work bench to carb pad= 5 and 3/8
from the floor of the plenum to the top rail ( below the lid )= 2 and 7/8
plenum width (inside to inside)= 4 and 1/2
plenum length (inside to inside)= 14 and 1/8

The intake will perform. You just have to be willing to put in the time testing and trying a few things to find what works for your combination. It works out of the box but it can be much better with some time.

As has been pointed out, I run it in NSS and can run under the A (10.00) index with it. Its on a plain jane 49x build with MW port SR heads and an Indy S2 flat tappet cam with 12.5 to 1 comp in a 3600lb car in NMCA NSS trim.
