Nice to hear Jim (and thanks for hooking me up with parts over the years)!!

I retired from my military job in 2012 only to start another one in the East Bay. Once the kids are done with high school, however, then I will seriously "Retire-Retire."

Congrats, so are you going to sell out of Cali and move to somewhere you can be more than just having the bills paid?

Nope. Several reasons, but to start with I don't live in a high cost-of-living area so my expenses likely wouldn't change much. Plus the grandkids are in this state.

I have only been retired about a year and half but that has certainly been my experience. I thought I would be working on my race car full time and it has not even been close!

Congrats Jim. I hope you will be much happier away from the toxic environment. I know that feeling, and hope to escape in 2019. up

Congratulations. I retired in 2010 and LOVE not having to punch the clock in the steel mill. Looking forward to early Social Security when I turn 62 in March. I still haven't gotten to use the 15 foot fishing boat I bought myself as a retirement gift so hopefully 2018 will be the year. LOL. I did go fishing on my Friends boat late this year and caught a few 20 plus inch channel cats and bass so I'm hooked again.

Exactly. laugh2

My problem isn't the stuff that I plan my days with.

It's the all the things that family and friends come up that they need my help on with "since I have so much free time since I'm retired". laugh2
