Hey Eric,

Well, I have about 6-7000 hours into the restoration of said dually.

It is a 1980 crew cab now updated to look like a 1993. It has a 1997 12V 5.9 compound turbo Cummins with roughly 650 hp/1800 ft tq. I built this engine to run at that rated power though for 20-30 min at a time. Not a fan of 1/4 mile only power as when you are hauling trailers up mountains, that doesnt cut the mustard or pass the Fords.

Tranny is a twin stick 24 speed manual.

Rear diff is a 1998 Dana 80, front is a 1993 Dana 60. Has a NP205 transfer case off a 1993 Dodge/Cummins. Wheels are 19.5 aluminum class 5-7 semi wheels.

Interior seats are from a 2008 SRT Charger. The rest of the interior has been fabricated to blend 1980 with 1993 with 2008 as well as merge all the gages as switches.

Suspension is full 4 corner air ride off a semi truck.

Every nut and bolt has been redone or replaced. Not sure what else I can say. Its just your average old dually!

Robert

Thanks! She will be happy to hear she is also loved! lol

They grey truck is just as unique.

It is set up with Dana 61 front and Dana 71 rear with factory 3.07 gears and a NP205 t case. Engine is the original CPL 0804 5.9 non intercooled 12V Cummins only very well worked. Running a single SuperHX40 off a 24v C series class 8 engine, I have the original VE engine running at 450 hp and 1350 ft lbs of torque. I am also running that through a 24 speed twin stick set up. The truck also runs 2002 Ram intercooler, condenser, and radiator.

Suspension is now custom as well with 5500 spec springs in each corner, Bilstein 5100 shocks, and performance sway bars. This thing handles like it is on rails.

Looks like a stock ish truckā€¦.far from it! lol

They frequent the Ontario Mopar shows so I am sure you have/will again run into them.

I sold my 07 Ram Sport and ordered a 17 Ram Night. This is step one of planning my retirement.

Here's mine. 73 W100,318, auto, nothing special. Its been in my wifes family since new. Plan for 2018 is to restomod (Macho paint in yellow/black) it a bit and get it back on the road. I've got a new grille and a bunch of other parts for it.
