On a /6 with an upside down mounted fuel pump, if the pump is going bad to where after 10 minutes or so after shut down, the filter is empty, can it siphon the gas out of the carb also? I'm having drivability problems, and noticed the filter would be empty after just a few minutes after shut down. The problem is off idle, the engine just bogs up till about 3/4 throttle, like the accelerator pump isn't working. It has done this before, and after a rebuild. It's a 75 a body with all of the pollution garbage.

No, it cannot siphon out of the fuel bowl.

Anyone who says it can doesn't understand how a siphon or a fuel bowl works.

work with it in your driveway, see if the AP squirt tip in is immediate/sufficient duration & you might clamp the vac lines to check for a vac leak. this is a part throttle issue as you try to gain speed I am assuming.

Yes, part throttle. Actually it does this to 3/4 throttle. 75 has so many vacuum and other things going on that I realize that some of that stuff might not be working together and affect it. I know the ego isn't working anymore.
