hi ,
there was someone on here recently with an issue where the converter wouldn't fit fully in ? was considering cutting the pump drive slots ?
the search here is $hithouse .
anyone remember ?

Finally fitted a solid cam,
stepped it up a bit more
3690lbs through the mufflers
New World block 3780lbs 10.278@130.80 . Wowser 10.253@130.24 footbraking from 1500rpm

found the issue .
had a anti balloon plate fitted - plate is hitting the pump . Converter sits out . No clearance to flexplate .

You could remove some material from the lugs.
