I have the Dewalt 899 with the detent pin, I even got lucky and found one that was from the US plant that assembles them. Never thought I would see the day that power tools would be atleast partially made in the USA again boogie

No opinion of makita, china can keep their milwaukee crap. Too many burned up chargers, overheated failed batteries to even consider giving them another chance. Its funny how they are so proud of that 5 year warranty, cause your going to need it!.

We are using these to spin on Semi wheels 6 in a row. We'll see how they do after 6 months. So far so good.

I've got a dewalt cordless at work... gets used on a daily basis. Batteries are two years old and they work great. I "had" another brand 1/2 drive at the house. Seldom used and the batteries went south for it in short order. Between that and coming home to a smell in the garage from a cooking Black and Decker drill battery on the charger all my stuff at home is corded.... and WORKS when I need it.

Last Christmas I bought a 1/4 inch 18 v Milwaukee std (not fuel) for small projects... and a 18v 1/2 inch fuel for the son to take to work on Big rigs..
During the summer, the boy has my tiny 1/4 inch in the garage tearing down a Jeep engine with the 1/4 to 1/2 adapter, turns out the tiny impact will remove lug nuts and flywheel bolts...

At work the 1/2 fuel out performs the other techs Snap On cordless and his 3/4 air impact...for removing tractor springs and lug nuts on the big rigs.

About 2 years ago I bought a Ryobi. and I have ZERO complaints with it.
I can torque a wheel lug on to 100ftlbs and the impact will take them off no problems. I dont care if it will put it back on that tight or not, I go over lugs with a torque wrench anyway.

Is it the best one out there? probably not. But for the money I sure cant complain. I bought it on sale for I think was well under $100
But I have to be honest. It will do 99% of the work I'll ever need it to do. I have the 3/8" version as well. Again ZERO complaints. My only advice is get the bigger upgraded batteries for them .

I have a 4 way spinner that I bought for $8 that lets me take off lug nuts torqued to 100 ft/lbs.

Never need charging either. No batteries to fail,

Don't be the exception.
