I have a 1971 2800 CS that needs a tiny bit of body work/rust remediation, but these E9s have now hit a new high!

Talking about non-CSLs (which now command $250k).

I have wanted a pre-'74 2002 tii for some time, and as abundant as they are, I can no longer justify the cost of entry. The CS is a gorgeous car, you lucky dog.

I know where one is that might not be too expensive. It's not a cream puff but it is what it is. It's on the West Coast.

"Want" and "can have" are two different things in my world right now with our next house in the planning, but appreciate the heads-up on that tii.

I currently have two 2O=00=O2's a '72 that I have mod'd with two DCOE side draft Weber's, etc., and a '73 tii that is stock except for the color and a steering wheel. My sister/brother-in-law have a '72 3.0 CS in dark blue with a dark blue interior that is completely stock. I went to an estate sale for my bro-in-laws doctor back in the mid '70's and talked him into bidding on the 3.0 and he was reluctant to take a chance but bid anyway. He got it for $4500 and still was concerned he paid too much. He still has it and it's in perfect shape. Don't think my sister will ever let him sell it as our mom loved the car too. Mom grew up in Munich and I and my sister spent a few years there and are big BMW fans. I owned the Colorado Orange 2002 from the early '70's until '86 when an old LTD pulled out in front of me and I just about missed him but caught the right rear of his car and exploded my left hip into five pieces, still have the hardware in there to this day. I replaced the totaled orange 2002 with a Jetta GLI, then found an all original GREEN '72 2002 that was a military purchase in Munich, shipped to Fort Hood, then to Fort Bliss and traded in to my friend's car dealership in El Paso in '86. Drove it back from ElP to Ohio. A few years later the '73 tii showed up and his dealership and I drove that one back too. Great era for those BMW's back then in the late '60's and early '70's. Surprised a lot of Mustangs and Camaros during that time with that little 4-cylinder's performance.

Nice! I had 72 2002 in Colorado orange. My mom called it the pumpkinmobile. I also had a 71 2002 and two 72 2002tiis in white and Saraha Tan.

I currently have an early 72 2002tii in Golf yellow and am early 74 2002turbo in white. I bought both in the early to mid 90s. I'm glad that I bought them back when I did!

Yeah, I was watching that one. BAT is a great place for sellers, that is for sure. I did great selling my C-barge wagon there a few years ago.

Been looking at E9s for a while, Not easy to find one that doesn't have major rust issues. But the prices are definitely on the rise.

Mopar prices, meanwhile, seem to be tanking...

I dunno, that orange Challenger on BaT is doing pretty well, despite all the overspray in the engine compartment.
