Is there a way to find out the key codes if you just have the locks/ ignition switch? Are they located on them somewhere or what is the solution to get a set of working keys?

There is a code on the ignition switch for '70 up, not sure about others.

Someone here mentioned they could make keys from the code here a year or so ago, Dan maybe?

Local locksmith can make them from your door/ign lock cylinder.
If someone actually saved the knockouts from the car's original keys, buy a lotto ticket on your way to the locksmith!

You can read the insides without too much effort by removing tin cap, hardware, springs etc.
