499 low deck stroker, 700-750 HP max, already has aluminum main caps.

Is it essential to run a main girdle with this combo?

if it was me i'd run one. nothing like keeping things in their correct position under full power. a lil distortion can be a dangerous thing.

Good for you, so smart you waste time on a computer bashing those of us who are "un informed"

You don't have to have one, we went just as fast before they were even made, as we do now with the girdles, but I do have them on a couple of engines now. How many people think a stock 440 steel crank won't go in the 8's in a 10" tire car @ 3300lbs with 300hp of nitrous. Just like most of you say stock blocks won't last going that fast but a few of us do it all the time with no problems.

One day I will have something cool here.

Not everyone lives on the computer. And besides that Lenny, Moparracer is a small block man and this is his first big block car in a long time.
Look at his sig, he's been in the 7's with a small block.

Darhl, to answer your question, no you won't need one with your build.
Check your mail.
