My wife would have my nuts if I brought that home, but as old as im getting that might not be a bad trade to cruise that sled.

That is clean and unique. I'm not sure what it's worth but you could easily sink more than that into any classic pretty fast trying to restore it

it looks like a nice car.
don't know what the AACA Senior award is, but it probably means the car is in REALLY nice shape.

after the above said, it's a 76 newport. it's in nice shape but is it worth 13K?

if it is i should tell my friend. she has a 76 New Yorker silver red leather gut car with the StRegis top like the newport. car is in her storage shed and hasn't moved in 30 years. i think it might have less miles than the newport.

Antique Auto Club of America, Senior Award...
AACA Senior vehicles are eligible to win only one Senior trophy, commonly called the Duryea Trophy. The vehicle must have the highest score in the class with a minimum score of 375 to win this Senior award. Any other vehicle scoring within 10 points of the highest score and above 375 will also be awarded the Senior award. Senior vehicles compete only against other Senior vehicles.

Beautiful car, I can't imagine finding one any cleaner. But who wants to drop 14k on a barge like that? I would love to cruise it but couldn't get past the thought of never being able to get any resale $ out of it.

I agree it's beautiful. The color just flat out works on that car, but I have to ask, take the same car, condition, and give it a boring color (green?) and it looses a big portion of its appeal.

I think the color looks better in the pics than in person (look at the pics of the door jambs) scope

I think a former girlfriend's dad had a Cordoba in the same color, and it looks different depending on the light. Here's a '76 Cordoba that's supposed to be Saddle Tan:
https://classiccars.com/listings/view/87...ashington-99016

Here's a pic in which the color looks close to that of Newport in OP:

And here's another that looks somewhat duller:

If it's the same color as the ex-GF's dad's car, it's pretty snappy in person.twocents

If I had the money, I'd buy it, resale value be damned.

ya the 1st and 4th pics are a much darker exposure than the rest, far more saturated. Other pics make it look lighter and duller.
For comparison, this is a retouched photo of my fury, it's not nearly so deep and wet looking in person

Agree, The condition of the car is incredible, but it is the color that really makes it desirable and a standout.

A year or so ago, I got rid of one of those that was in really nice shape with a boat load of new parts on it for a buddy's widow. We were thrilled to see it go for $1800! Gene
