6.4 out of a Ram 2500, 16k miles. Fire damage hit the intake and fuel rails. Want to use it to begin converting my operation over to the GEN III platform. I'd be switching to carb anyway from f.i. so the intake isn't a huge concern.

Didn't plan on buying parts so soon, so I'm trying to decide if it's something I should jump on now or wait a few years until I'm ready.

The BGE (big gas engine) 6.4's seem to be really expensive right now. They have a lot of good stuff, Hellcat heads with a conventional intake bolt pattern, Hellcat block, forged crank/rods, and possibly forged pistons. They seem to be in the 5-6K mark from what I've seen. Given the fire damage (not a biggie since you're not using the intake but still a bartering chip), if you could get it for around the 3-4K mark I'd say you're doing very well.
