I know that Ford did as their E250 and E350 (and E150 but no diesel available) were body on frame. Did Dodge, GMC, Chevy ever offer a V8 diesel? Is there a full size van I'm missing that may have had a V8 diesel with 9,500+ towing capacity?

I think you could get the Chevy vans with their 6.2 diesel.

I'd stay away though, they definitely won't have the performance of the 7.3 diesel Fords.

Dodge never offered a diesel in a van, trucks only.

Chevy offers a Dirtymax in vans, or did until recently.

Saw an 80's Dodge van 4x4 van at a place on the side of the road. Been there for months.

Keeping my eye open in case they put up a for sale sign.

Thanks, I checked out the GM diesel and it seems that was a poor offer of a "diesel" that was more for the purpose of a highway traveler, high miler engine and not a torque monster for towing purpose. As you said the performance specs show it to have about half of the torque of the 6.9/7.3 Ford diesels. I guess I'll keep my 6.9 E350 even if it is a F.... Thanks guys.
