Hi, just a heads up if you're thinking about ordering Mopar brake stuff from The Ram Man in Texas. I ordered a few simple things from him to see if he was worthy of a larger order. I ordered an original E Body manual brake rod that goes from the master cylinder to the brake pedal - that was fine and no complaints there. I also ordered four new reproduction bolts/studs that mount the master cylinder to the firewall. He sent me three reproduction bolt/studs and one 0.30 cent regular Home Depot bolt as the forth one. Now, I should have known this was going to be a problem because a week after I paid and made the order I called to see the status and they told me I canceled the order. Huh...? I said I did no such thing and immediately went to my Paypal account and saw there was no refund. I called them back and said you must still have my money because there is no refund on my account. So, I get a call back and the say the money is still in their account and there was a mistake - ok, I'm a fair guy and said no biggie- are the parts I ordered in stock and can they be shipped out now? I was told yes and received what was described above. I put a call into the vendor and I'll see if I hear back. I know people on here will flame me over a bolt, but I paid $30.00 + for four reproduction bolts - not for three and a 0.30 cent bolt in place of the forth without even a call from the vendor telling me about this. Sorry, but it is the principle of the matter.

I never buy anything from anyone who refers to themselves in the third person, just as I never buy anything from anyone who uses a Z in place of an S in their business' name.

Certainly frustrating for you and I don't think anyone here will 'flame you' over the bolt substitution.

Could be a mistake on their end, perhaps not.

Maybe better to let the supplier reply to your issue before posting. The issue tends to be much more credible when it's established the supplier either won't fix it, denies there is an issue or is ignoring the issue. At this point you don't know what they're going to come back with.

I hope it gets worked out satisfactorily for both of you.

Maybe he should be called the AZZ Ram Man?

As to the OP don't know why you would even try with that guy

That guy is an embarrassment to Texans. I really wish he would stop foisting his trash on others.

He is local to me and despite being active in the local Mopar scene for 20+ years I've never had someone introduce themselves as the owner, operator, or in any way connected with that business.

I ponied up a grand for one of his Hemi power brake boosters,I hope it will work as stated by him. Right after I bought it from him,all kinds of negative sh** started coming out about the guy. I even witnessed it personally at Carlisle,of course it was the year after I bought the booster!

I hope you have better luck with yours than I did. The one I installed, came with an incorrect e-body length rod that put the brake pedal about 3" higher than the clutch pedal. I sent him pictures, and was told that the original hemi booster pedal heights were all over the place... After installing the correct B-body rod, the pedal was now 1" off the floor. Ended up buying an NOS booster assembly and that took care of the issue. The guy is a total toolbag.

Thanks for the replies. The only reason I posted this was to give potential buyers of him the chance to research the guy before purchasing. Maybe this thread will save somebody from potentially loosing a nice amount of money on a bad purchase.
