It's not a D700. It's a C700. I also can't find anything that says an engine larger than 361 CI was used in a 700 truck for that year.

I don't see many engines running those exhaust manifolds.

Cool rig I like it.

You are right, my mistake! My 66 D700 has a 361, why couldn't a C have a 413? shruggy I have seen an A800 with a 413, but it was dual axle. Here is what Wikipedia has to say about them:

Can't believe you could get a 903 or an 8V71 IN THAT. Would be a hell of a ride with the Detroit.

It's not that a C couldn't have a 413 as they were used in 800 and larger trucks. I can't find a good clear 1960 brochure but this 65 shows the CT700(tandem axle version) only had a 361 while you had to go to a C900 or CT800 to get the 413.

I've got a rusty C500 like that sitting on a friend's farm.

I've been trying to figure out how to turn the hood and fenders into an outdoor cooking center / gas grille storage spot. The fenders could swing open to reveal the grille...

I know, I know.... shruggy

I think he's talking about the "motor" (electric motor) that shifts the 2-speed rear axle quit, not the engine.
