Thought I would post this here for reference that may be attained for anyone doing the same. I will be doing this same conversion on a 69 Charger in a few months and thought this would be a great place to retain some info I may need as well.
The car in this post is my old 68 Charger that I built and sold a few years ago.
The new owner is using a local shop (Ace Performance) to do the conversion. They are not a mopar shop but a performance shop.

I will be forwarding Baer the owner of the shop the link to this post and he stated he would like to sign up and become a Moparts member. These are some pics I was forwarded from Baer the owner on his google site. They were screenshots so sorry for borders.
I am sure he will post the progress as they proceed. He stated they are on hold until the magnum force front suspension shows up in 6-8 weeks.
Enjoy.

I read that in an E body the Hellcat engines induction system required relocating a hellcat engine farther fwd than a standard modern Gen 3 Hemi. That is going to be a sick ride.

For hood clearance the 66-70 B-bodys the engine has to sit about 2-3 inches lower in the K frame.....Going to be a kool build. I'll be watching

I'm doing a Hellcat swap into a 71 Cuda. Will be following this build too.

Supposedly magnum force has redesigned their kits to take care of hood clearance now.

What transmissions will you guys be running? Part of the Hellcat magic is that 8 speed automatic which I'm told won't work with these conversions?

Hey Scott. Baer's shop is tackling my old 68 in MA at Ace Performance.
I'm currently doing a 69 Charger Triple Black Hellcat conversion at our shop.
They are both triple black cars so will be a bit confusing as they look pretty similar.

We are both running T56 six speeds.

Our kit is shipping today from Silver Sport Trans.
Baer bought his from a supplier local to him in MA.
We got the entire kit that includes many items, new clutch, bellhousing, driveshaft, trans cross member, hydraulic clutch setup, all the way down to the speedo cable and shift boot.

I'll probably start another post for the 69 just to keep them segregated a bit as Baer will most likely take over this post next week. They are ready to start assembly of the conversion on the 68 next week when the new Dana arrives.

On my post I will try to give everyone a good idea of what the ballpark is to complete the conversion. (Parts only) I am keeping really good records as I plan on doing a Hellcat conversion in a Cuda when I complete this one for my buddy.

Here is the 1968 and 1969 at our shop. Pretty ironic they are both getting hellcat engines now.

I believe the only way to get the 8spd going these days is to do an "entire" Hellcat swap. Shifter, gauges, radio, engine ecu, trans ecu, abs/wheel speed signals, etc.
