1969 Dodge Coronet Sedan 440ci - $2000 (Newberry, SC)

Seeing as the guy thinks it's a leather interior, likely that he's also mistaking the "Coronet 440" as CID call-out? Wasn't 383 2v only BB option for non R/T or Super Bee models?

I like the dealer sticker on the deck lid. And those bumper guards must be rare?

Good point... 440 body style was the base platform ( cheapest) if I recall.....

Nope, Coronet Deluxe was lowest level. This 440 model has the stainless around the door window frames, and chrome arm rest bases, and a carpeted floor. deluxe has a rubber mat.

Does the buyer really know if this car has a transplanted 440 engine, or do they just assume that by the emblem on the side of the car?

Still remember back in the 80s'....my buddy comes home from the junkyard with a '66 Coronet 440 on the trailer...he was a 100% Chevy guy, but knew that I was always looking for Big Block 440 stuff. So he calls me up and says that he bought me a car and its a 440 (I think he paid $100). I ask him how he knows...because it says so on the fenders and the engine is HUGE. So..I ask, where is the distributor....of course its in back. So, he done bought himself a 318 poly Coronet. No harm, no foul. He sold it to my brother's buddy who then did transplant a big block into it. Those were the days.

Not sure about the 'leather' seats in this one...sure does look like old school vinyl to me.

Another person who has no idea of the difference between vinyl and leather seats.

I thought that was only for Super Bees? Or was there another 383 4v offered?

Went and looked at a 440 coronet with a 383 and the people that owned it swore it a was a 440 engine original to the car even after I showed them the id pad on the engine that gave proof the motor as a 383...they still didn't believe it, even with it right in front of their face. oh well!

Just today one of the "coffee" guys ( who has quite the imagination) talked about the 62-63 Mustang Shelby he saw.. Then he was talking about the 441 hemi in a Buick... I just smile..
