With Mopar coming out with the Hellcrate 6.2L setups, it got me wondering what else would be needed to run one of these. There was no mention on their press release of any of the low-temp radiator cooling circuit for the supercharger. I know on production vehicles, there is an oil filter adapter with two ports in it that run to the heat exchanger behind the fascia. There is also a low temp radiator on the other side of the fascia, as well as a dedicated pump and cooling circuit.

Does anybody have a complete list, maybe part numbers for somebody who is considering making the swap? Seems kind of important, surprised Mopar didn't have an add-on kit like they do for the FEAD/AC expansions.

I'd contact the Graveyard carz guys about what would be needed , they did a Superbird with a Hellcat crate engine.

You have to consider that all the external cooling components outside of the engine are designed for the late model cars that they come in. Mopar sells OEM parts and has no idea what all cars this engine will end up in and which OEM Hellcat parts would fit them.

I have a Hellcrate on order, expected in about a week. It will be going in my '69 Cuda. I expect to have to figure out what areas would be good for inter coolers and research what (probably aftermarket) inter coolers will work.

The Hellcrate and its accessories are designed for plug and play. If you want one, don't be afraid of it. Your biggest concern will be in reinforcing the chassis, tubbing wheel wells, etc so the car can handle the power and get traction. Oh, and brakes.......don't forget good brakes!

Thanks for the welcome. I would love to post a thread here but have been using an IPad for a while and am not sure how to post pics with it. It was difficult with my last laptop too because I couldn't figure the newer operating system. I do have a thread over on FABO, but the pic site I was using now wants fees to use them and all my posted pics there went away. What's an old dinosaur like me to do? I can't keep up with all these technology (advancements?). The thread there included a 6.1 based 392 that was intended for the car but I'm moving on to the Hellcrate.

The new systems for these crate motors are really plug and play. They're very "stand alone" except for just a few wires that integrate into whatever main wiring system is in you car.
