I am relocating the COP coils and have the original boots and braided cables pulled off the coils and now working on the coil mounts. Does anyone have any experience adding plug wires to these? I need an idea about the clearance that is needed above the towers on the coils. How much room do I need to allow after the boot and wire is installed on the coil before the wire can start bending to clear parts? I am assuming the wires will have straight boots but have no idea what they will look like and can't order them until I have the coils mounted and get the lengths figured. A picture would be great also. Thanks!

Use LS coils...that will do more of what you want with a coil near plug. Tim

I didn't know there was an LS coil with a dual spark tower. I already have an MSD Hemi Controller that has a wiring harness for the Hemi COP Coils. I should probably continue in that direction.

There isn't. You have to split the spark or run 16 coils. I don't think the Msd controller is capable of firing 16 coils. Not to high jack the thread but if the spark was split between 2 plugs does that cut the spark mj in half at each plug?

Can splitting the spark be done cleanly, if it works?

Mallory made a y adapter to run 2 coils. Don't know if they still do. I guess the question is are the ING1a coils hotter than stock Hemi coils.

The direction has gotten a little slanted. The MSD 6 Hemi Controls 8 twin tower coils. It has a plug and play harness and works with the factory Gen 3 coils after the COP portions are removed. This is the direction I'm going, I just need to steal some ideas on remote mounting the coils and getting wires to the plugs. The Indy system doesn't work with my intake. If I wanted a one size fits all I would have a Chevy, but I am wanting to get a little creative.
