I think Reaper looks like a buffoon. It seemed what he did was pretty pointless. His first car was a real VIN numbered car and he made a mad dash to what, #8, and then spent the next few seasons blowing up, lining up wrong, leaving plugs in the intake, spinning the tires off the line or half track, 1/4 track, 3/4 track, and finding new and creative ways to not climb the list. Monte said he is a great guy, but he seems to create more drama than he does wins. Just my twocents

Even Monte couldn’t make this guy look good. I couldn’t believe how Monte rewired his whole car and seeing the pictures how great it looked and then this dufis Reefer put a stock case transmission in the car and wiped out the new wiring job.

To me its too much drama. That being said if someone told me the rules were steel quarters, roof and a VIN. Thats what it needs. In my eyes it had all 3. No one said how it had to be mounted or attached. And as far as no Promods. I'm sure if the skins were torn off of any RVW, Promod, Grudge etc they all have the finest in tube chassis design. So besides sleek bodys and wheel base, whats the difference?

They claim "promods" are 400 or so pounds lighter than they can get with steel bodies.

Seems to me the sticking point is a real body shell with its VIN. Adding steel over carbon fiber and then attaching a dash panel with a VIN was at the very least fudging and not in the spirit of the rule.
Might seem silly to some to draw the line there, but it has to be drawn somewhere.
The poor guy was sometimes inadvertent comic relief. Hard to believe how many ways he could screw himself up.

Plenty of classes out there with that rule but where would it stop? stock frame rails, stock mounting points for front suspension. I don't think you want non track cars limited like that.

When they went to no promods the original rule was the car had to start life as a real production car and retain the stock quarters, roof, and VIN. Reaper's car was not even close.

My car started out as a stock roof and 1/4s. But I made the new roof and 1/4's from molds I made off the stock body. I needed nose weight so it still has stock fenders and nose cone. So I have as much STOCK on my car as anyone. But I have not try'd to run no prep kings because of it. I could do what Reaper did and make the rules but since I'm out gunned what's the point.

A pro mod is a pinched and stretched carbon body with every aero advantage and wind tunnel development available. Reapers car is not really a Pro Mod. It's a composite copy of a stock body but not really a Pro Mod. Y'all have seen what a Pro Mod 69 Camaro looks like and his car is far from it. But the fact of the matter is his car is pushing the rules as far as you can go.

If they wanted the entire steel A pillars, door jambs, trunk surround, etc then thats what the rules should state. Not steel 1/4's and roof. How much can be removed? The outer skins dont weigh much w/o the factory structure. How many of these cars have the inner roof structure, rockers dutchman supports? Rules are made to be stretched to the limit. That is the case here.

IMO Shawn made himself look like a little beotch when he pointed out the A pillars were not steel. Reaper quickly told him that the rules were steel roof and quarter panels.

I think Reaper leaving was all part of the script, it's been building to that for a while.

The last show was just a little better as it had atleast a few more races, but still no where like it used to be. As far as Reaper, I'm with the minority and say his car meets the rules. Steel roof and QTRs.. it has that. I'm sure all those cars are pretty much the same without a body on them. They don't want a carbon fiber body due to the weight advantage, so Reaper has a carbon fiber body and steel roof and qtrs, so his car I'm sure weights the same or maybe more.

Reaper has since posted a vid of a 68 camaro with a procharged 540 that he throws a magnet all over the body, shows the a pillars are metal, rockers etc. He will be back despite him acting like he was done with it... probably already planned to make the switch to this car and they used it to make more fake drama.

Getting tired of Chief and his little clique always playing their little games to circumvent the rules to maintain their advantage but act horrified and pissed at others who do the same. I liked Reaper. He was the Charlie Brown of the group. His uncompetitivness was not from lack of trying. At least he wasn’t always blocking others to preserve his spot

The great part about tv shows are you can change the channel or turn it off. Some episodes have been boring or filled with more than needed drama, but what else am I going to watch that's any better? I find it funny how much people complain about the show, but they still watch or comment about it. A show with just racing and all likable people, no controversy/drama and so on... wouldn't last as long as this show has. Sure it could be a lot better, but it could be a lot worse too.

I look at it this way. I watch drag racing on tv, old mattlock show, shooter, the unit, and criminal minds. Football is the only other sport I watch and I gave that up till respect of our Flag returns. I’ll be there every week till the ship sinks.
