The no-prep series really woke up some of those guys as to what real racing is all about, with all the travel to different places and the effort and parts required to not only run a series but to go rounds. Birdman, Fireball and Larson were clearly superior to the others, as they had a crew and spare parts to keep things moving. When they did their first round callouts there were always 2 or 3 that were broken from the day before, whereas the 3 I mentioned were able to change engines or transmissions to stay in competition.

For next season I expect to see more high quality cars and fewer low budget racers. Unfortunately that's usually what progress does.

My guess they'll make changes to the rules... no way most of these cars can compete with the top guy with how things are now. Not saying that's what I want, but like I said before, birdmans car for one is no where near what its suppose to be. Larsons truck is pretty out there too. Fireball appears factory styled, not sure how factory it actually is.

I know it's discoverys show, but note who decided how the rules went during the races. Chuck will have a say in what they do for the next season. It was already mentioned about rockers, jamb etc.

Larson's truck has a steel cab and bed.

I thought the idea was "Run what ya brung, and hope you brung enough". Start putting lots of rules in place and it's not that anymore.

It’s not that easy on the fuel. Some guys spent years mastering either race gas or alcohol and who knows what else.

I know it is like birdmans car is steel quarters/roof despite firebirds having a fiberglass roof from the factory. I'm talking about the body mods.

Pretty sure it dont. They allowed him to add some metal to the rear of the bed and he gets to call it a factory long bed to fit the wheelbase rule.

Did Kye Musi show up for that last race? I don't recall seeing him as well as Lutz. Did he get pissed enough about the redlight not to participate?

The addition is removable and metal, but the bed is metal too I thought, he just chose not to weld it on.

Edit: pic of build you can see its metal.

From what I understand, he said the hell w/ it b/c he felt like he got screwed over twice...the re-run against Ryan Martin before he could finish changing engines and then the redlight. I don't blame him. His last race was the one right before they came to Orangeburg, SC.

I still say No Prep or not. You are at the track, use the tree. Stage with tree. Leave on the Pro Tree. No cheating from anyone. You leave early you go red & loose unlike the Memphis Street Outlaws who always leave early no matter what.... LOL.

I also feel Chuck should not have been a participant since he was the so called "race master".

I saw that. Is it a real deal or some recap show? Did see it's a 2 hour deal.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

It looks like it’s a 35,000.00 to win race pump on by one of the other racers. I just happened to check tonight’s programming and saw it. Hoping it’s new.
