They made it so it was like a flash light start but still timed. Basically you had to wait to see green before going. The time it takes the eyes to see green and react would be more than .400. They did explain it in the drivers meeting. Well THEY may have said that, but they and this reply are 100% incorrect. Watch any NHRA Div or National Race in SG, SC and you will see a ton of cars and drivers more than capable of going RED on a .400 tree. Moreover we actually have a .370 tree at those races. The reason its a .370 tree is for Pro Stock and PSM, otherwise they would be red all the time as well. Anyone who runs pro tree stuff is more than capable of going red on a .400 tree. Hell when I ran my heads up car I had to use an adjustable button with a long throw and stage as shallow as possible to not go red on a .400 tree and these guys make way more power than I did. Anyone who races much would easily be able to go red on a .400 tree with the kind of power these guys have just a fact. I looked it up and the avg human reaction time is .25 visually. I guess they would need a .250 tree to do what they intended to do. I was just repeating what they said. In the end, it worked fine the rest of the event except for this one race. I'm not a fan of it, but it's not my rules. I watched the vid over and over in slow motion and it was definitely green before Kye moved. So can't really fault him for feeling the way he did. But like mentioned, the green had to go out before moving... they really shouldn't have put a green bulb where yellow goes and it wouldn't have been an issue.

Simple fix: use a flashlight, then it's just up to watching the rear tires to determine going red. Would have saved like 5 pages of Moparts arguing, and God only knows how many pages on other sites, haha... My problem with that is by a flash light he didn't red light. With the electronics he did. Kelly needs to nut up and quit crying.

Big head chief didn’t like the rules either on the first round call outs and look where he is now. If you can’t be the big cheese I guess you stay home. I think it's more than Chief that didn't like the callouts. Most of the 405 guys have complained about the callouts.

It didn't stop Doc from calling out Dominator when he was broke I don't like it from a fan stand point when you get two ducks racing and end up with 2 cars that could win meeting in round 1. It's Chucks rules, so it is what is. And Big Chief said more than once he doesn't like racing on tracks... he did win a big event, so nothing to do with the fact that he can't win these races.

"'And Big Chief said more than once he doesn't like racing on tracks" the one pod cast after indy he said he would love to run nhra p/m......if some one would pay the bills This is true. But I think the podcast that got them booted they complained about no-prep and how the track kept scraping the no-prep off and such. At the event he won. Lol.

Not that I think he'd win or be that good even, but plenty of advertisement for whoever it would be.

Simple fix: use a flashlight, then it's just up to watching the rear tires to determine going red This makes no sense to me. Scot was whining about Kye "jumping" on the last episode but "in my opinion" what does it matter what your rear wheels do if the front end doesn't move ?!? In any event with lights its the front end that determines a "red", you could theoretically sit there with your line lock on spinning the rear wheels and you don't get a red until the front wheels break the beam!!

So Chief is in rehab?
Kye got screwed IMO. A couple weeks ago Ryan goes red, loses, and everyone wants a rerun. Won't give Kye time to fix his car. Now Kye goes "red"...photo clearly shows green light on and car sitting still. Having to wait for the green light to go off before you can leave is stupid as hell. Remove the yellows, leave green at the bottom...
