481X's are a bit of heinz 57 with architecture from several brands including Oldsmobile, BBC and they even have hemi size main journals. The hemi really shines at very high RPM (10,500). Even Proline is selling a hemi now and advertises the hemi having a little more power potential than the 481X and they have only recently developed and started selling the hemi packages.

Regardless either platform has incredbile power potential these days.

I wouldn't trade one of my BAE's for 2 481X motors. I'm definitely not saying they are junk but they can't rev with a properly set up race hemi. They do have some great innovations like a torrington thrust. Of course both of my BAE's have that now too.

That was an exciting night of no prep racing. I donโ€™t want to ruin it for the late watchers.

I just finished watching the last episode of No Prep Kings. WOW it looks like they made a good effort to knock the walls down at BG.

How big is Chucks motor? He always remarks about it being a small block but before the race with Doc the track announcer said it was 600".

I can't say for certain about Chuck's small block, I was told it's under 450in .

It was good to see kye Kelly lose and break a 903" musi engine.

Stink pinky won a round with the challenger finally, and still looked bad. Car looks like the balance is off. Front end hops up and down every time going down track. Maybe time to lose those 17" front wheels too.

On Chuck's website it says its a 421" SBC with Helion twin turbos built by Morgan and Sons Race Engines.

I heard the same thing (600 cid). Also the episode where Ryan race the Gas Monkey car and wines about Gas Monkey not playing by the rules of having an engine larger than 500 cid, and there engine was 540 cid. Really,

500 was for the Hemi only, not both cars.
