Am I going to have a special tool to remove the balancer? I have a tool that I have used on LA motors. But I am not seeing any holes to put my bolts in on this magnum balancer. Thanks Jim

I helped a relative remove one a 99 Durango with a 5.9 years ago. We ended up using a large gear puller with a large diameter impact socket and washers stacked in the hole to keep the bolt from touching the crank threads. We got it off, but it wasn't easy.

You'll need the correct install tool to pull it back on. Don't try pulling them on with the bolt. Tempting, but you can wreck the threads.

The correct tool makes it so much easier than using a generic gear puller as it will fit better.

There is a small specialty 3 jaw puller for that style that works on a lot of them. If you do work like this it's probably worth it to buy one.
