8 years ago in one yard trip I came across three 3.0/5speed Lebaron convertibles. Not a unicorn but very few were ever made in that combination. most 3.0 cars came with the 4spd auto.

Well this poor 69 R/T sat from 1976 until finally the owner sold it to me in 2004. By this time it was beyond repair!!! Enjoy or cry as you look at the pics of this Q5, black vinyl top, Console 4 speed, 6 way bucket seat with luggage rack. It was so rusty that the front frame rail frome shock tower to the torsion bar hole was missing and the DS torsion bar was rusted in 2 pieces.

After this was pulled out of a swamp in the mid 2000's I figured it was toast, but with only 36 M-Code notchbacks made, and still being numbers matching, it was determined that it could be saved.

Exactly what I was thinking. My Uncle moved to St. Augustine in the early 80 taking with him a 78, 440 auto Ramcharger that he bought new. In about 10 years it was rusting out around the door jambs. I wish I had it in the condition it left KY in.

In my buddys old yard, he has a 1970 Charger, slant 6, 3 on tree. Been there for years, smacked hard in front end (pushed way back to windshield) . . .

In another old spot, 1970 Newport 4door, Cordoba, with the Aztec vinyl roof, and huge hood emblem and interior aztec looking door panels, etc . . .

The Charger had also been in Indiana at one time. He had it covered from 1980-2004 under a tarp for years and that is the worst thing you can do in Florida.

If I can find pics I had a 68 GTX convertible that was just as bad but i sold it to a guy who repaired it back to a restored car.

Here is a convertible I found also in Florida. I was selling some parts of of it to guy who ended up buying it from me on Moaprts. When the shipped came to pick it up he said are you for real? confused
2 weeks later he had it on E bay and sprayed with black primer to hide all the rust. I can promise you who ever bought it from him on E bay sure got a shock when they received it as there was absolutely no floors or trunk pan left. The firewall had a 2" rust hole from right to left across the middle seem.

68 hemi 4sp Charger in a pick a part. I looked at the car saw a 383 and a odd fitting on the steering gear box. I looked at the J in the vin and had a memory issue thought it was a 318 car walked about 6 feet from the car and realized my mistake bought the car 10 min later. it has now been restored

Parted out a 69 340 notch back mod top cuda Pick a Part wouldn't let me buy it

To be fair, St Augustine is right on the beach.. ANY coastal area is tough on cars...

Almost forgot, while poking thru a JY in the late sixties I came upon a 55-57? (single headlights) Cadillac 2 door convertable only this was shorter and had funny little fins on the rear fenders. The back half was a fiberglass molded body like a Vette. Can't remember what they where called but latter on I heard they're super rare. It was white, red interior, all there. Owner died in the 90s and place was cleaned out.

Not a Mopar and I have no pics, but there was a solid late 30s Hudson Terraplane at the Nashville Pull-A-Part about 5 years ago.

Stopped me in my tracks, for sure! I tried to find a Hudson Terraplane site to tell folks about it but there wasn't one...

Nope, more rounded off the back and smaller fins. That being a 57 this one had to be earlier maybe 52-56 -- 53 maybe, sounds right, been a long time. Definitely fiberglass on the back. I'll try google
