First Gen 3 parts I've ever owned, tossed them up on a flow bench today. Untouched, completely stock, as far as I can tell. Testing on a 4.00" bore. Wow...

259 @ .400
267 @ .450
271 @ .500
286 @ .550
292 @ .600
298 @ .650
301 @ .700

The big surprise was the valve springs. Could these be stock??

126# closed at installed height
350# at .550 open
Looks they are done at .585, but seems pretty stout for an OE spring.

Your numbers are a little lower than what most of us get. Most of us have hit 300 by .5 and stays the same at .6

Ive went rounds before over the valve springs. When i tested them, the pressures were better than pac 1218s i think i had at the time.

I did leave out one detail. The radius entry wasn't a good match with the port, so once that's done we should see better numbers. But overall, I was stoked to SEE those numbers. I've heard of and read the hype, but in many years gone by we've worked real hard to get alot less numbers from old school heads.

Seeing what the heads are capable of was one of the big reasons I jumped off the BB ship. IMO opinion they are the best engines to use in a NA 600-700hp pump gas application period.

Mopar to the bone!!!

Yes, the PAC 1218 is 130/318.

done at .585 ...Coil bind or clearance ?

Truth has no agenda, but those with an agenda make their own truth.
Some of us are so open minded they only see their View

Yep, with slightly larger valves, multi angle valve job, bowl cleanup and port massage they will go mid 330's real easy...and as much as 319@ .500 lift!
Easy stuff!!

What's the biggest lift you can get with stock length valves? What springs will do the job? Specs?

650 is about max with stock rockers. For eagle head alot are using psi1511 or 1515

Back at playing with these. Holy smokes...we're not even porting just smoothing what is there and trying different valve jobs...

.550 = 311 cfm
.600 = 321
.650 = 326

Wow. Sorry but I'm late to the G3 party so...WOW!

Been saying it for years!!!

Dollar for dollar you CANNOT beat the g3 layout.
Easy to make power at a much lower stress engine level.
BIGGEST thing is the availability of cheap parts!
