Man, what a day I've had!!! I had planned on going to a show that is about 75 miles away. I was busy all day yesterday and I didn't have a chance to even touch my car, so I decided to get up this morning about 5am and get started early in the shop while the wife and kids were still asleep.
So.....I detailed, waxed, armour all'd everything....got the old Cuda looking pretty good. Left the house about 9 or so for the 75 mile trip. I had about 30 miles of 2 lane before I hit the interstate. Everything was running along well until this nut in a dumptruck decided to pull out about a 100 yards right in front of me. And naturally he was pulling out of a cow pasture/field, this is not a good thing considering the 2 day rain that we just finished up. So, he must have run through about a foot of mud right before he decided to pull out in front of me. He was leaving tandem axle tracks of wet NC mud on the highway, cars were coming at us in the other lane, so I could not crossover. I was trying to dodge the tracks the best I could until I could pass him, but by this time he was picking up speed and low and behold he was hauling a FULL load of.......you guessed it......cow manure!!!! So now I am dodging mud clods as big as your fist and flying cow crap!!! The wife is screaming because I am all over the road trying to pass, the kids are in the back reminding me how bad it smells. as if I couldn't tell.......I finally got around the moron and proceded to the next little town where I was going to hit the interstate and go on to the show. I figured I had a little bit of mud on the Cuda, but I was pretty proud of the dodging job I had done behind the manure truck. Then.......I pulled up at a stop light getting ready to get on the interstate. A group of kids were having a car wash on the side of the road at a gas station and like most kids do, they were standing on the side of the road holding signs trying to attract customers in. This little kid about 10 years old looks at me and says "hey Mr. blue car, come get your car washed", I smuggly replied...."its already clean", he looked back at me and said "No its not, look at the bottom"!!! Thats about the time his sister smacked him and my heart fell to my stomach. I pulled over at the next gas station and my worst fears came true. Those big G60's threw mud and cow manure everywhere. After a little tantrum there I decided I had to find me a high pressure self service car wash and get rid of this mess. so, I backtracked about 5 miles and found a car wash. I put my change in and started to rinse off, I almost made it all the way around and my time run out, so being a cheapskate it ticked me off that I had to waste another $1.25 to finish washing under the one fender I had left, but I had to finish the job. Not thinking I layed the pressure washing wand on the ground and jumped up to go drop my next $1.25 in the slot, as soon as my last quarter hit the bottom I knew I was in trouble, I heard the pressure washer kick on and remembered that I had just layed the wand down. So I ran over the where I had layed it down, and by the time I got to it, the wand had already started flailing around like a wounded duck. I chased the stupid thing around the car almost one complete time, hearing and watching it bounce off every panel and fender and door and windshield on the car........My wife was sitting inside the car dying laughing, I was chasing this stupid wand getting soaked and watching it beat the crap out of my Cuda and getting more and more furious with every wack on my car. I finally caught the stupid thing after it hit my passenger door and put a 4 inch long scratch on it. By this time, I had done blown a fuse (so from here on out I am not longer responsible for my actions) when I caught the wand it was facing me, so needless to say I was soaked. In a fuming, soaking wet, watching my car get the crap beat out of it mindless rage the first thing that came to my mind was I had to kill this wand. So sad to say, I slammed it against the wall and it broke, now I am really getting wet by the semi broken wand. Now I am really ticked off. I get my soaking wet self into the Cuda, look over at my lovely wife and she can't breathe she is laughing so hard.......trust me, that didn't help the situation. Needless to say, I came out of the car wash sideways catching gears. I got out of the car and caught my senses again, dryed the car off. Went on to the show and the day turned out pretty well. The good news is the scratch is just in the clear, I think I will be able to do a little work on it and get it out.
I have never seen a self wash wand that goes full pressure as soon as you put the money in without depressing the trigger.

Moral of this story: When you get caught in the crapper or behind one, just turn around and go back home.....cause it ain't gonna get any better

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

I was thinking I had a bad day at work yesterday but after reading what happened to you I feel like I won the lottery. By the way I never did laugh the whole time I was reading your post. Hope all works out better next time.

I would pay $10 to watch a video of that. Sorry about your day. That Murphy guy is a real jerk.
