As most here know I have been looking for a 71 Cuda. Jay Horak from Cuyahoga Falls Ohio messaged me about a car he has that will work for what I'm looking for. The deal has been made and I'm leaving Saturday to get the car. I trust the knowledgeable people here on Moparts, so I'm curious if anyone has had dealings with him. He hasn't given me any red flags, in fact he has been great to talk with...but I'm doing due diligence before I make a 12 hr drive each way and drop serious coin for this car. Thanks in advance

Don't know him, but here's his Facebook page. Is that the Cuda you're going to pick up? LOOKS NICE!!!!

Oh and BTW you have checked the weather report for the Cleveland area for this weekend I hope? SNOW and that area on the East Side of Cleveland is in the SNOW BELT and gets more snow than most other CLE areas and "Lake Effect Snow". Bring your snow boots and gloves. Have a safe trip and looks like a nice Cuda.

Cuyahoga Falls is not on the East side of Cleveland, nor is it in the snow belt. shruggy

Nobody know this guy? Looks like he has been doing late model hemi swaps for awhile. Surely someone has seen his work or bought something from him. I really need input, it looks like I'm leaving in the morning.

Unfortunately I don’t know the name. My city borders Cuyahoga Falls.

Best of luck on your trip.

I know Jay but haven't seen him in quite a while even though he lives in the next town. In the few transactions I have had with him he was a straight shooter and I've heard that he has some pretty nice stuff. Sent you a PM with my contact info in case you need any help while you're here.

Right, everyone knows that is the rust belt. I think the snow belt is in Hollywood!

Looks to be to the south and east, also in one of the snow belts for sure. Not sure it makes the cut for primary or secondary. So ?

I wonder if Mike Ross at B/E&A would know Jay Horak? Mike has a few E-bodies and (had) lots of E-body parts, might be a chance Jay has dealt with Mike and that Mike may know him. I have to get approval of Mike's-B/E&A's proximity in Litchfield, OH to Cuyahoga Falls OH and the possible weather but I think they are close......Dick Goddard can you please chime in.........and Mike Ross too please.

Looks like I'll be in Ohio Sunday night to get the car. I appreciate all the input. I feel pretty good about what we are buying and the price.

I've known Jay for many years, probably close to 20 years.

We've dealt back and forth buying and selling and all was always cool, i wouldnt think that you would have any concerns or problems.

and if i remember correctly he lives pretty close to Summit racing. its worth the ride there from Jays just to check out the store even if you dont need anything

Everything worked out well. The only issue was trying to leave Akron and all the road construction
