well with all the fuss on how hard to get new blocks and their problems....this seems great for 3 year unlimited mile warranty.

Yes it does.
Compare prices. Build any engine to that power with fuel injection, it's a deal

IMO it's a bargain. I wish this was an option three years ago when I started gathering parts for my R1 434" build.

Whoa, sticker shock in a good way. This -is- an absolute bargain. 700+ reliable horsepower with a warranty (and this should easily net 20k + in vehicle value). You couldn't build this type of engine (EFI + Boost) for anywhere near this price. I'm sure you'd have $20-25,000+ in the swap when it's all said and done, doing it yourself.

Plus $2000 for the unlocked ECU and $700 for the misc parts kit.

I would imagine the EFI companies like Holley and the like are working hard to make a system to run this package. I think the holdup with running the hellcat system on aftermarket EFI is something to do with the bypass valve being electric.

I never thought I would see the day when guys would say that 15000.00 base price was a good price for a cast iron 700 horsepower engine. damn and that’s just to have it sit in your shop. How much more to have it up and running.

I was the first one to control the Hellcat with a Holley Dominator. But for the price a factory ECU would be a better way to go.

As I said add $2000 for the ECU and $700 for the misc parts.

Since they are putting these in production cars, they must be pretty reliable. What would it take to put one in a 2017 Ram 1500 8 speed daily driver?

What would be cool is to stick this motor in my 2015 Rubicon Wrangler...Now that would be a ride!

Last week I saw them at their listed price of 19,900. 14996 is a Much better deal.

But, there may be 3 Hellcat demon engines going up for cheap, as 3 Hellcat Demons just burnt down in Transit to there New owners. First thought it may of been a issue with the New Hellcats themselves, but saw where it was a transport employee mistake that caused the fire.

Considering the locals are making 1K hp levels with those engines in Hellcats, that is a bargain...Don't kid yourself on the 700hp rating...That is the low end of the spectrum on these.

Will all respect, how much would you charge for a 700 HP Mopar small block or GIII that you would guarantee for three years gets fairly decent fuel mileage and could be driven coast to coast with no expected problems?

$15,000 is a lot of money and it is hard to spend it all at once, but I don't think its that bad of a deal, especially if a person values their time.

See the driving coast to coast and gas mileage doesn’t affect me and never did. I grew out of needing high horsepower cars on the street. I have 7500 dollars in my R3 small block and it’s gone 9.40’s for the last three years so that’s where my interest lies. On the track. My “street hoopie” days are over thank God. For those that can’t or won’t learn to work on it heir own stuff it’s an option. An expensive option by time You get it up and running but an option. If I was younger I would build an aluminum block one because they are impressive but then again anything with a power added should be

Its not for everyone. I agree you can build a strong motor some for less. You will not do it with all new parts. You won't get a warantee. And you will be doing your own labor.

iagree Would love to have one in my Dart, overdrive with 3.55 gears would make a great dual purpose car.

At least its cheaper then the 650HP gen II Hemi from Mopar, and you might actually be able to get one.
