The OP is going to have some test done on just how durable it will be if he does this and sells it to the public. He completely understands were the weak points are in the cables and would improve those areas before something would be offered to the public. The OP does have a Manufacturing and Restoration back ground. There are a lot of things that PG needs to improve on products they sell. 71birdj68 have you talked to them about their quality of this product. Likely there has never been any durability tests on this product and they would rely on the public for feed back. Does not mean anything would be done about the product but you hope they would.

The last time I commented on a conversation I had with PG, I got a vacation from here. I called them about something else, and the response was like everybody else in the industry, nobody else has complained, must just be me. I welcome what the OP is doing, as this is a product that is needed.

We all know that China produces some real bad stuff. A lot of stuff they produce is a replica of something for our vehicles. Replica meaning it looks very similar but sometimes does not have the durability of an original Chrysler piece. If you post pictures of why the cable is not a product that is working well on a Vehicle I have no problem with that. PG I believe does not have the Licencing from Chrysler so no part number or Chrysler logo can be put on them. Same pieces are sold with part numbers and casting numbers by others, same product with the Licencing for more money. Chrysler is just getting their cut off the product and likely never has done any quality control of the products. If people have a problem with a product sold I want to hear about it and will investigate the problem with others. We all need a consumers report on products we do not want to waste our money on and that is one reason we come on Moparts.

Like I said my first cable broke at the ball where it goes on the gas pedal the first time I pushed the pedal, then the cable I have now after one summer, and around 2000 miles, there is an inner sheath that covers the cable, and it started braking and falling off, and I think that when I push the throttle past a certain point it will hang up.

First cable in in a car and was driven, this cable is functioning fine.
I found a supplier for the ball ends and ordered 100. I also have the specs for the method of fastening the ball and the specs for testing the strength of the swedge.

Looks very promising, what I will offer is cable restoration service of original cables only. Price will be determined once I am ready to offer he service which is after I test the cable.

For what it's worth. My car (70' Charger) has had a 440 4 barrel, a 440 Six pack & a dual car 426 Hemi in it over the years all with the same throttle cable with no issues. May not have been 100% factory correct but it worked just fine.

Thank you for the effort. Could you do the same for the oil filler caps?
