Around here usually the trees are at they're best fall colors in mid to late October but with it staying unseasonably warm until a week ago the trees changed late.

We went from 80 degree days with nights in the 50's to now it's 40 degree days and nights in the 20's in less than a day.

Here's a large oak in our backyard.

I hate winter but I love the fall colors.

Great lookin Tree.
up
Around here, (Northern Wisc.), We have had some cool summers. This last one was very cool and wet.
Our trees are usually droping leaves by now.
Last week we had a snow storm that broke several trees. Hard wood and Conifer. All the shrubs were literally laying on the ground. I went out and shook the snow off and they popped right back up. Everything still has the green leaves hanging on.
Wish I would have taken pictures of that storms left overs. First year in a long time we had snow before the New Year. Supposed to be in the 40's next week.

I believe the one in my pic is a white oak, they seem to hold the leaves longer (some of the leaves until spring).

We have cedars all over behind it (and all over the property).

The small one to the left of it is a peach tree, about a week ago we had 5 deer standing near it and some were eating the leaves off it. laugh2

The tree to the right lost all it's leaves pretty fast a little over a week ago. They turned yellow and fell off quickly. I'm not sure what kind of tree it is.

There's another oak similar to the one in the pic farther down the hill to the right. I'll probably take a pic of it tomorrow.

I was looking out of the back of the house at the oak in the pic and thought "The colors are awesome, I need to take a pic of it".

Nice. That thing is "HUGE" up

We have some Red Oak, Apple, 1 Pear and several Cedar, but mostly Maple, and Spruce.
I planted a lot of it when I moved here in '95.
The Oak and Maple were already here.
I just planted a peach tree 2 years ago.
I have it penned up in a corral made of pallets.
The deer have a habit of eating saplings.
Saw a red fox trotting through the field down the road yesterday.
They have been getting scarce since the Coyotes have moved in.
I gotta say, I really don't miss living in the city. (Milwaukee)

Snowing again today, but as I said, 40's predicted for next week.

I was up in northern Wisco a few weeks ago. Totally green. Very surprised. W. PA, WV and SE Ohio were further along in color change.

Headed up to Pere Marquette state park near Grafton, IL a couple of weeks ago to check out the fall colors. It was still too early but did catch some trees changing colors.

It's been pretty cold here in mid-Michigan lately, earlier in the week,
woke up to find all the leaves from my two maple trees in the front yard,
on the ground. Temp. got down in the upper teens overnight, and leaves
literally fell off. whiney

It wasn't a real good year here in East Tennessee for the leaves, but enjoy.

Nice tree and picture! here's mine.

Yesterday I flew a plane with a flight instructor on my first IFR training flight. As soon as I got off the ground I put on some glasses called foggles. They restrict my vision so I can't see out of the windows and I only can see the instruments on my panel. I had my go pro going so I could review what the instructor was teaching me. I noticed the trees in my area still had some leaves on them with some color.
It's a long video(17 mins)and you get to see all kinds of color from 2000-2500' off the ground.
I did not see the ground while I was flying the plane until I was 600' off the ground on final when I landed the plane and I took off the foggles.

What part of Northern Wisc?
We have snow on the ground here in Marinette County.
Leaves are green too. Just don't feel right.

True! The view from the property to Pelican Lake. It'll be for sale in the next year or so if anyone is interested.
