So, I can just image the 1970 442 W30, the 1970 W31, or that yellow 1970 Cutlass rallye 350 on the dealership lot back in 1970. My Dad, unfortunately, went with that fully loaded 1970 Vista Cruiser! grin

Mom found the original window sticker in a folder of his old stuff and I got a laugh. It was even family-truckster green.

The Vista Cruiser was cool as hell! My buddy had one in school....the cruiser! Don't see many any more, I think they would make an awesome street toy.

We still have our 70 vista cruiser I grew up with.

Also a 350 car, but with power windows, power locks, power seat, 3 seat, tilt.

That sure brings things into focus.

A bump over 4 grand compared to what folks are laying down for the big trucks that are so popular today.

I had a buddy in High School that had his Grand-Pas old Vista Cruiser.
We called it "The Great White Buffalo".
Good times were had by many.

I didn't realize the roof rack and rear power window were optional. I've seen lots of vista cruisers over the past 30 years. Never seen one without a roof rack except F-85 wagons.

I looked at a 2 door 4 speed ( from the factory) vista cruiser about 3 years ago.. No motor or transmission and REALLY rusty..

Did some research on them and something like 15 were made?? Can't remember and GLAD I didn't buy the rusty pile of sheet...

I'd be willing to bet someone sold you a yarn.

Is it this one?

No, the articles I looked up were authentic from car magazines, etc.... Cars were sent out to shops ( like the wing cars) for modification...

The article in the old magazines that I know of talk and show a 4 doors. A red F85 wagon IRRC? And another 2 were Vista Cruisers. One used to be owned by Joe Mondello.

And I think there are 72 pace car (medic) wagon(s). Don't know if they were originally white with graphics, but they are now.

Is the car Diego showed/linked to, the one you mentioned?

Brochure notes they were available with a 350/400 automatic. What came standard? 3 spd manual? Was a 4 spd an option?

I read it as 455 and TH400. Which is standard deal.

350 2bbl and 4bbl with TH350 trans. Our 70 350 4bbl car has TH350 trans.
